This shop is great and Candace (the owner) is very helpful. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. I frequent the shop about once a month and agree that the prices are great and the vendors do a great job blending old and new, many different styles - something for everyone. You can easily spend an hour or more looking at the treasures. Great way to spend an afternoon with your girlfriends ... and some great places to eat in the area.

I live in the area and LOVE going to Southern Crossing about once a month. Every time I go in there it's something different. I have picked up some great stuff including a great antique entryway table for $40!!! Also have many things from lamps, armoire to holiday ornaments that are perfect for gifts and decorating projects. I have never had a bad experience with the shop or their staff. They are always helpful to pull stuff out of my hands as I'm walking around the store and set it aside for me so my hands are free. This has to be the best little shop in town with all the vendors in one location and great stuff. I always seem to find antiques that fit my modern/traditional decorating style.

The vendors are plentiful and the merchandise is terrific. Unfortuniately, the staff is not as worthy. We were brushed off and hurried away from the holding shelves as we were picking up our purchases, while admiring someone else's glassware. One of the staff commented in a demeaning tone, to be sure that we knew it was sold. Apparently, this customer and her glassware was ever so important! When we asked about a missing piece to one of our purchases, we got a shake of the head and "I really can't help you with that." The lady attending the glassware customer, could not hurry up the packing of our items fast enough to get us out of the way. Our purchase was just short of $100, which seemed to surprise the 2 ladies on the staff. My questions is, "where do you get these people??!!" It was rude and obvious and as a professional in a global business, I wouldn't tolerate it from staff!

Comparing prices in the Atlanta area (where I live) this place is fantastic. I frequent Queen of Hearts in Alpharetta and Buford regularly and Southern Crossing prices beats them hands down. Every time you turn a corner in Southern Crossing you find the neatest surprises. When I visit the area again I will definitely spend a couple of hours there. Also, The European Street Cafe across the street is excellent.
