Sat Nov 14 2009I recommend Dr Weidemann. He is knowledgable and right on mark. However, everybody knows he is good, so it can be difficult to get an appointment. Therefore, I often end up getting another Dr and I am not always pleased. They are very good at scheduling so wait times are short, and you never feel rushed by any of the Drs.

Mon Jan 05 2009I normally see Dr. Levy but when he's not available, I schedule an appointment with Dr. Malleske. There is never a long wait and I've had nothing but great experiences.

Tue Aug 19 2008I've been a patient at South Austin Medical Center for over 40 years. I've never had a problem getting an appointment (even on the day I call, if necessary), and most people I know say their experience is vastly different. I'm hoping Dr. Graves never retires, although I know that's nonsense. He's been there since Dr. Dittert started the clinic (I went to Dr. Dittert first), so he will retire eventually. I've seen several other doctors at SAMC, and been pleased with them (except for two (2), and I think the problem was a conflict of personality, not their medical practices). All of the staff seem to be very caring about patients, and very serious about their profession. I recommend them to anyone who needs a doctor.

Mon May 19 2008I recently became a patient at this clinic. The wait time before the appt. was minimal; in fact, I was still filling out new patient forms when they called me back. I saw Dr. Smith and liked her. She listened to me during the visit and I didn't feel rushed. It wasn't a particularly long appointment and I wouldn't describe it as warm and fuzzy like some of my experiences with doctors in the past (waaaay in the past, given the state of medical care today), but Dr. Smith ordered the appropriate tests and refilled my medication over the phone without a hassle. The office feels old-style, but that is kind of what I like. I'd rather have an attentive doctor in an aging building than one who doesn't give me the time of day in a shiny new environment.

Tue Apr 01 2008Dr. Martin is also my doctor (and my husband's), and I can't sing his praises enough. He is extremely intelligent and extremely friendly. On several occasions, I have called the office simply asking for advice or information from their staff and Dr. Martin personally returned my calls, and QUICKLY! Usually the wait time for an appointment isn't too long either. He was recommended to me by a friend, and I always recommend him to others.

Wed Aug 01 2007Dr. Martin is a great doctor and a really nice person. As soon as you meet him, you feel at ease. He never seems like he has one foot out the door. He will take the time to explain everything and he is happy to answer any and all of your questions. He has a policy where if you feel ill and need to seem that day, you will be assured an appointment by the afternoon. His staff is equally fantastic - especially Linda who was particular prompt and proactive in helping me sort out some issues. There is one consistently surly woman sometimes at the front desk - do not allow her to misrepresent this otherwise stellar staff.

Tue Feb 20 2007I have been seeing Dr. Martin for over three years. He is a very smart man who stays up-to-date on new medical information. He does not mince words when it comes to your health. Be prepared for honest information presented in an easy to understand manner. I find him very funny and recommend you come with a sense of humor. He always has a story to tell and he takes time with each patient to establish a rapport. He honestly cares about his patients and I can always count on him when I need him. I highly recommend him. I moved to Round Rock and I work in north Austin, but I still drive ALL the way to south Austin to see him. I know he is interested in helping me be the healthiest person I can be.

Tue Oct 03 2006I have been taking my family to see Dr. Martin for several years. I moved from Austin to Bastrop and still remain as a patient. He cares and creates a personal relationship between himself and your family. My children wont go to anyone else. I am always able to get right in and he always has the time to talk about what you need. He does not over medicate. He is always up to date on new medicine and research. We will continue to be patients of Dr. Martin until he retires (not anytime soon) or moves away. We are a military family and he has always supported us. My husband deployed and Dr. Martin monitored my health and my childrens. Joining Dr. Martin as a patient would be a smart move on your part! Just tour their facilities!
