Been using the V100 for about a dozen rounds now. Battery holds charge for multiple rounds, basic info is displayed. I like the mark feature for checking shot distance as well. Online support is helpful and they mapped my local course (after asking me for the layout, which I didn't mind doing since it's free) within about 7 days. My buddy has the high dollar Skycaddie and he couldn't believe I only had to pay a $29 fee for a lifetime of use. He pays $60 a year after paying $400 for the GPS. I've used the expensive ones but honestly, the front, center and back of the green is all I need. It also shows distance to most hazards. Great little GPS, highly recommended. Would have given 5 stars but since it's just a basic unit, I'll go with 4 to keep the playing field level.

THIS PRODUCT GIVES ME THE HOLE YARDAGE WITHOUT ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES.. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT I CANNOT ACCESS THE WEB SIGHT ON MY COMPUTER. I HAVE TO USE A NEIGHBORS. I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH SONOCADDIE SUPPORT IN SOLVING THIS ISSUE. I HAVE 3 COMPUTERS AND CANNOT GET THE WEBSITE WITH ANY OF THEM..I USE AT&T; AS MY INTENET SUPPLIER AND THEY SAY THAT IS THE PROBLEM I DON"T BUY THAT ANSWER....

What more can one want. This is a great device and the price is right and very accurate. Lifetime course downloads for $30.00 and easy to use software. It has the information that you need (Distance to green and hazards). I don't need to pay extra money for bragging rights and functions I don't need or use. Most golfers I play with that have GPS units only use the basics.

Read reviews and decided to try it. It is cheaply constructed and did not work, I read and reread the instructions that were poorly written with gramatical errors and still it did not work. I have returned it and bought the Golflogix garmin GPS and I am very happy, so far, with it. PS While I was charging the Sonocaddie battery, I joined their 'birdie club', for 30 bucks with unlimited downloads of golf courses for the Sonocaddie. Well, even though I returned the Sonocaddie within hours of joining their club, they would not credit my card for a refund. So, I'm a member forever of a club of which I have no use. Be careful

This is a really nice unit. Works great out of the box. Lifetime fee of only $29.99 to download course anywhere in the world is a great deal! All the courses that I go to are in their database. This GPS unit is very easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone!
