Solar Illuminations

I spent 20 minutes talking to William at Solar Illuminations a couple weeks ago, going over some of the lights they offer. He helped me figure out the lights I would need for our parking lot, and decided on their balmoral series light. The lights came promptly, are now installed and looking wonderful! We are very happy with the services that we received from Solar Illuminations, and we are very happy with the product. I will definitely be recommending this company.

Called them up in hopes to order a light, and then realized that wasn’t necessary as I can order them on-line. The guy on the phone was very helpful in giving me more information about the post top light I was interested in. He even alluded to a coupon discount code available at a separate website. I received the lights fast, from Florida to North Carolina in 3 days. I installed the lights and they have worked perfectly for the last 8 weeks. I’m very satisfied, I have no complaints. I highly suggest ordering from solar illuminations.

Sounds like a great product, but they will tell you what you want to hear - that their product will work for you! Customer service was rude and defensive. Return poilcy stinks and is expensive. Find what you are looking for somewhere else! KR

I ordered 2 of the xp07 in warm white. i chose these ones because they have 200 leds and i havent seen that many for solar christmas lights before. my husband has wrapped them round the two trees along our driveway. these are different to usual led lights, they are more of the whitish color we are used to. they look wonderful and the neigbbors are thinking of getting some to. i may even purchase some more to wrap around the mail box

Purchased a FL06 with 10w panel for the entrance to our Ranch a few weeks back. Since we've had it its been on every night. its been working great!

I bought 2 sign floodlingts for $632.00. One of the lights worked perfectly, but the other started giving trouble after almost 3 months (warranty 90 days). I called tech support on the problems, and they recommended some trouble shooting whic I did. It was intermittently out for the next month,so U called them again, and they gave me more suggestions which also did not fix the problem. Now it is totally out. I just called them and they would not replace the light even though our troubleshooting of their product began within the warranty period. There products are marginal, but their customer support is unacceptable. I will contact the better business bureau of Ft. Meyers the let them know of this horrible company. Rick Molenaar Darwin, MN

I had a great experience and recieved a good product. When I had a problem with a damaged battery during shipping they immediately sent a replacement with no hassles at all. The sign Light was installed with minimal effort and easy as could be, they made it almost idiot proof. On behalf of our homeowners association we thank you for the great customer service.

Installed the PL05 in May 2010 and it stopped working in September 2010. Don't order from this company.

Thankyou Solar Ilumminations for the good packaging and safe arrival of the 2 Balmoral posts and lamps. Straight out of the box and sitting in the sun, come sunset they were working well!

Solar Illumination by far puts America back to the stone age in there workmanship and customer service. Their product arrived in various shades of gray, touch up paint was used to hide imperfections that did not match the original paint. The anchor bolt hole's on the Pole bottoms are torched with slag still hanging on that will not allow the washers to sit flat. Wrong bolts furnished with the arms that don't fit the nuts and will not tighten on the pole. The entire order looks as if came from a third world country. We continue to get no help from them, only their comments that no one else has complained.

Solar Illuminations, I recently Purchased two SF05 Solar 'Guardian' Security Floodlight With PIR- Motion Sensor and one SF04 Solar 'Mini-Spot' These solar lights have met all advertised claims and the customer service has been outstanding. It has been a pleasure doing business with your employees. Your store and products will definitely be considered when I purchase other items.

Terrible service and no pride in there product.

I ordered a PL05 to replace a broken outdoor post light last year. It would not recharge at all, but because it had been installed could not be returned. Didn't fight that because it did look much nicer that the old broken fixture even if it would not light. Now, less than a year later after only 1 winter the finish has completely oxidized, and it is a light gray rather than the original black. Overall, nothing positive to say about the quality of the product.

Ordered and received an FL06 solar light, panel, and several accessories to illuminate a development entrance sign. First of all, we ordered the most expensive (10 watt) solar panel which, according to their literature, is rated to operate in any climate. The light only lasts approximately five hours and then goes completely dark after a full day's charge. The real trouble began when we tried to return two unused accessories. Their return procedure is arduous (customer must call and request a return number which is later emailed, customer pays for shipping both ways, and then Solar Illuminations charges a 20% restocking fee). All of this was done and the accessories were returned. We just received the box back again; SI refused the return because the parts were returned in one of the inside cartons and not the original shipping box (which was huge)! This is a horrible company. I have had nothing but problems with them from the beginning. They shipped me the wrong parts, then didn't want to refund me because the box it game in was damaged when I opened it up, so it was no longer in resaleable condition. Their customer service has been awful and made me feel like it was my fault they did something wrong. Do not use them, there have got to be better companies ou there.

Order/Invoice Number: DM193810012802 Dear SI, I have been trying to use one of your solar lights but our location is not very dark at night. There is much too much ambient lighting around. I spoke to your support staff the other day (I didn't catch his name, but he had an Australian accent I believe). He gave me some very expert advice, asked me to try it, and then contact you on Thursday with the results. I just got done checking and (as he anticipated) one of our garage lights was interfering with the sensor (causing the light to not come on). I did note that the tiny light sensor is flush with the top of the lamp and it was detecting our nearby electric lights. Anyway, problem solved and it had nothing to do with your product. For now, I simply covered half the sensor with electrician's tape and it seems to be working fine. Thanks again for the help today. I called Solar Illuminations last week after a client of ours had asked us to supply a very specific solar light for a project. I found this company right away on the web and called them up with some questions. They guided me through their web site right to the exact fixture our client needed. I saved their web site to my favorites and did a little more searching. By the end of the day I hadn't anyone else offering anything close to what I needed so I was ready to order from them. I called them back just as they were closing to confirm availability and they offered me a 10% discount due to the quantity I required. This project had to be completed by the end of the week so I had the order put on overnight shipping. They said it was late in the day but they would try help me out.
