Mon Jun 30 2008This is a fabulous cosmetic line. I am a cosmetician and a tough critic to please but I have yet to be disappointed by a product. The cooling foundation is awesome, it feels cool on your skin for up to 45mins which is great for the summer- it offers a light coverage. The photo finish primer is also worth the money- it goes a long way. And I also love the shadows..they have high pigments so you use a lot less product and the colours are beautiful the trio high beam pallet looks gorgeous on everyone. This line is well worth the money. (ps there is hardly a price mark up, your local drugstore is making 10X the amount that the smashbox brothers are- right there shows you its quality product!)

Thu Jun 19 2008It's OK. Their Photo Finish primer is very good, but until it came out in the small tubes it was way too expensive--almost $40 a pop. Their lip glosses are good, too. I haven't tried any of their other products.

Wed Jun 11 2008Love the Photo Op under eye brightener and the Jet Set eyeliner. The Photo Op makes your eyes look wide, bright, rested and young. Jet Set stays on all day and allows you to line the inner rim of your lid to give a doe eyed look. I've also tried the FX foundation and it matches my shade of brown exactly, which is rare for African American skin tones. It is light and does not 'disappear' in to the skin. I have been happy with every one of their products I have purchased. One suggestion: try before you buy and have the sales reps show you how to apply the products. Oh, and Photo Finish is worth the money. No shine and gives additional staying power. Thumbs up!

Sat Jan 26 2008Smashbox has a mix of both good and bad products within the line. My favs are their lipliners, lipglosses, and creamliners. My non-favs are their facial powders and eyeshadows. As, most of their eyeshadows have mineral oil added to them and their facial powders aren't long-lasting. And, they have a tendency to turn orangey on my face.

Wed Feb 21 2007OMG, I love Smashbox. This company has helped turn me into a Make UP Junkie! I just wish that they'd come out with more products for women over 50. (shh, don't tell!) Their eyeliner is fabulous and does stay but I do have a hard time putting it on even though its supposed to be so easy. But I love it!

Sun Nov 26 2006I first saw smashbox products on the shoppping channels. I finally was able to purchase some when I travelled to Chicago. The other poster is correct, their shadows are awesome, with velvety texture and great staying power. The cream eyeliner is also great, the black, tho is too dark for me, I need a softer grey. The product is easy to apply, though. Great brushes!! Overall, super product line

Sat Oct 22 2005For the Smashing Image Eye Liner. I have tried so many brands from drug store Revelon to high-end YSL; Prescriptives; Estee L; etc. The Smash Box Eye Liner, which I applied with their recommended pencil brush, goes on flawlessly unlike most pencils; the Smash Box liner can be smugged or not; either way, it does last me 18-hours and does not need any touch-up. I'm heavy into sports and the liner stays put; does not flake or fade. I'd recommend this liner to anybody who wears eye liner without hesitation.

Sat Jan 22 2005I haven't tried anything in this line; but I'm kind of curious about it. Unfortunatley, I haven't been able to find a store in my city where they are sold. I like the name though - it makes me think of what I wanted to do with all my old Mary Kay makeup when I was ripped off by them a few years back. For more info, read my rant under Mary Kay.

Mon Jul 26 2004This product is more hype than performance. The cream eyeliner is nice, but the whole line is far too pricey for what it is.
