Why is it that so many liberals and democrats choose to criticize the other side with cheap shots about their looks (which are irrelevant), or nasty phrases using words such as: Satan, bimbo, hag, wh#re, brothel, and anorexic? I think this shows how they are not up for seriously debating the issues at hand, and that they are not as serious about 'freedom of speech' as they state they are, unless they are the only ones getting the last word in. Honestly, while I don't agree with Ms. Coulter's brash nature, and crass sense of humor, I think that she raises many relavent and interesting points. I own several of her books and enjoy reading them.

Ann's book is full of satire and sarcasm, it's really a collection of her weekly columns with a bit of narrative to fill you in on the backdrop of what prompted her to write about a certain topic. She is a stalwart of conservatism in the battle of ideas, you can tell she's overwhelmingly successful by the names the literarily weaker libs call her: hateful bitch, Nazi, evil, etc. Unfortunately, in criticizing a small part of her point, they indicate (once again) that their shallow analysis misses her point (not surprisingly) which is that liberals trot out pathetic victims as their spokespeople, confident that their weak message will not be assailed due to the sympathetic nature of the messenger (e.g. widow of 9/11 victims, Cindy Sheehan who lost a military son). No matter how inappropriate these spokespeople and their statements become, moral decorum prevents most of us from saying, "well, she lost a son but she shouldn't say THAT! " Ann has attempted to expose the ruse and... Read more

Ann 'Bimbo' Coulter is the epitome of the old saying, 'Beauty is only skin deep', because after the skin, she is ugly to the bone. Any decent Republican should wince when they hear her name associated with their side. If you gave her more than 1 star, maybe you haven't heard some of her quotes. She's so looney, here's a couple of them. We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. - My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building. - God says, Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours. - ...liberals and democrats are traitors. There are so many other quotes of hers, equally looney or evil, that space wouldn't permit the countless nutty ideas she comes up with.

I love Ann's articles and Website. She's funny, brilliant, well educated and pretty hot as well :-)~. Slander was a fun read- but not much I didn't know already and very similar to Bernard Goldstein's Bias, which was actually a better book.

I don't agree with everything Ann C. believes, but the book was informative and vastly entertaining. I cant remember laughing as much as I did while reading a book. She pokes fun a most of the liberal media elite. On that I agreed completely. Very nice job.

Ann Coulter makes some good points, but she also is a knee-jerk conservative. Ironically, she's just like Jesse Jackson; she interprets every issue through her myopic, tunnel-vision, viewpoint. Instead of thinking, she puts each issue within her conservative framework, which is why she sometimes is right on target but hopelessly wrong other times. She is very intelligent, but also dogmatic. She tries to be funny, and I seriously doubt that she really means everything that she says in her book. It's entertaining and thought-provoking. She's also a very beautiful woman, and an interesting person.

I've never seen such a nasty hypocritical tirade. AND there are NO footnotes!!! Those are ENDnotes and if anyone who loves this book bothers to check them out you will see what a huge liar she is too. READ AL FRANKEN!!!!

I read her book just for laughs. She wants to be a historian but instead comes off as a partisan hack. Come on, Ann, liberals do not have a monopoly on saying and doing ridiculous things. As for the Liberal Media (TM), what a joke this argument is and the fact that her book is out there and she's doing the talk show circuit points out the flaw in her logic.

I love Coulter's sarcastic sense of humor; I think the stuff about liberal Democrats disappearing from the face of the earth are just mostly for purposes of being humorous. No one should take everything TOO seriously! I don't agree with all of the points in her book, but generally speaking I do agree that the media and most elite institutions have a leftward slant. The elite are composed of lefty's because they've been socialized to be that way. It's not a nefarious conspiracy to brainwash all people into believing something. We all are entitled to our own opinions and Dan Rather or anyone else can't change that or take that away from us. Everyone has a viewpoint and common ground is found in the middle. That is what really makes a democratic society work. Yet the time may come when you feel like you need to take a principled stand. I don't agree with Ann on everything, but she's gutsy and I admire her honesty and clarity.

This woman is insane! She always insists that she is right instead of showing a multi-view of liberals and conservatives. She is extremely one-sided. What she does is spew hatred and encourage conservatives to hate liberals.

All I have to say is that yesterday on a Foz program, she was smiling while people were discussing the Iraq War casualties. She is not even ready to acknowledge that there MAY have been some mistake, not even for the sake of discussion. She was grinning all the time(sic). I feel sorry for the people who lost their loved ones so grinning idiots like her could make the money fighting over who was right.

Principled conservatives who believe in reasoned argument and good-faith discourse with "the other side" should be embarrassed to have someone like Coulter claiming to respresent their tradition.

Yawn! This book was a waste of time. Apparently Missma missed the point of John290's post. Hey, Missma! He was trying to tell you something you obviously missed.....Ann Coulter is a bigot who discriminates against Arabs and Muslims! But it's not just that reason alone I don't like her. She resorts to the childish "Liberals are evil. Bad liberals! Liberals are dirty!" type of fighting. When you have to resort to suggesting to stick Democrats in prison camps, You know you are definetly indeed a "psycho."

Ann has written the most factual and funny book about politics and the truth about the Democratic Party and the traitors amongst us in years!! This book is an act of patriotic courage - she has exposed herself to the wrath and hatred of the media who control peoples images and careers to tell the truth. Especially impressive is the footnotes and the support for every statement she makes. And - Its Funny!! She has a wonderful sense of humor and awareness of comical timing in her delivery. I LOVE IT!!1 Read it in three days - once you start, it hooks you right in. Thank God for people like Ann out there telling the truth and risking retribution from the media for it!! God Bless HER!!

This book is a waste of time. Ann Coulter claims that liberals say terrible things about republicans. Yet she says bad things about liberals. One of her quotes is "The only good democrat is a dead democrat." This comment is horrendous. Every little thing she said is hypocritical and false. She claims there are no bad republicans. WRONG! Ever hear of Fred Phelps and David Duke? She obviously has not. In Ann's twisted mind, Racism, Killing, Bigotry, and Homophobia are okay, but Democrats are bad. I hope she lays off the crack.

She is certainly entitled to her opinion. I'm not going to stoop to her level and slander her, but I do think she got the whole Islam thing wrong. Muslims do not believe in what Al-Qaeda and Hamas believe. The terrorists are coming from a political angle, not a religious one.

Washington were!! come on, people, get a grip, i dont' have anything against conservatives: heck, my best frined is one, but liberals don't talk this way about people. treat others as you would have them treat unto you

I can't stand Ann Coulter. She's a raving maniac! She actually has the audacity to blame the religion of Islam itself for the 9/11 attacks. She's so far out in right field, I don't even think you can find her on the political spectrum. Everybody outside of the Fox Newsroom sees her name and thinks "psycho".

Like Bernie Goldberg before her, gives lie to the notion that the mass media don't have a heavy leftward slant. This one stands out among others of its type because she's so damn funny. Sarcastic in the extreme. If you share her general viewpoint, you'll get a scream out of this one.
