Got a lot of raves years ago, when the team was powerful. It had a retractable roof and other novel features. Unfortunately the team is boring now, and with all of the restaurants, hotels, and other novelties, it seems to be more of a destination for mall rats than real fans.

What a Christless dump. From the ugly look of the place, to the moron restaurant in the outfield, to the halfwitted fans, to the grossly overpriced food (even by ballpark standards) the substandard beer (and in Canada, no less) with a bad team managed by beancounting trolls, its all bad. The best thing about the place is watching the roof open and close.

For the Blue Jays, The now "Rogers Centre", is a fitting stadium, with ample seating, a good view, nice breeze on a good day, and the ever awe-inspiring moving dome. The Toronto Blue Jays don't have much to complain about, but the stadium is not totally new after all. As it ages, hopefully the stadium gets more upgrades and renovates its innards.

I used to like Sky Dome a lot more years ago, when it was so modern with its retractable roof. But now with all the new stadiums, Sky Dome doesn't look as great as it used to. Blue Jays aren't in desperate need of a new stadium, but they should at least start to think about it.

I'm sure Municipal Stadium in Cleveland was bad but never was there a stadium like the Skydome. Built for a myriad of purposes and does none of them well. Baseball - sightlines suck Football (CFL...ugh...) - acres of dead ground around the field (which looks like it's covered with that crappy fake grass they use at miniputt courses) Concerts - suck, sound is terrible, even floor seats are too far from the stage Basketball - when the Raptors played there it looked like when they used to divide the gym at the Y with that big stupid curtain (not like the Raptors are long for this town anyway) At least Exhibition Stadium was so bad it was good, the Skydome is just soulless

What a soulless, sterile, unfriendly dump. Last of the multi-function concrete bowls, Skydome is a terrible place for baseball. The atmosphere, if there is any, is all forced. Its novelties are great for a first time visitor, but having to follow the home team in this place is depressing. When the roof is closed, it's like watching baseball in a tomb. The upper deck is waaaaaay away from the field. Too bad Toronto is stuck with this dud for many years to come...

This is a beautiful stadium, if you go to a baseball game sit along the third baseline and when the roof is open... you have the best view in all of baseball... the CN tower watches over the play and makes for a great night. If you sit anywhere in the 200 or 500 level.. sit in row 1 as parts of the field are obstructed. For Football... sit in the 200 level zone, totally unubstructed and you feel like you are peering directly over the field. Enjoy the game.

Skydome is outdated and ugly. The roof is unconventional and the hotel is stupid. Toronto needs a new stadium

I have never been a big fan of turf stadiums, but I will let this one off. This is still a modern marvel to this day, with the hotel rooms and the big scoreboard. It was fun to visit.

Yes, baseball does belong in Canada, just not Montreal. How can you compete with a stadium that has a 2000 foot spike growing next to it? And the hotels are soooooo comfortable!

The last of the doughnut symetrical stadiums, but by far the best. If they could get as many fans as they used to and replace the turf this place could be thought of a highly as it was when it opened in 89.

The SkyDome paved the way for the new wave of retractable domes today. It was a great idea since the weather up in Canada can be better suited for football than baseball at times. This cozy park is a perfect fit for their team and reflects them in many ways. The SkyDome proves that baseball belongs in Canada.

Most people think SkyDome is outdated since Camden kicked off the retro boom; but every time a new park opens with a retractable roof, or fancy restaurants, carny rides, or some such side attraction, it owes an acknowledgement of influence to SkyDome. The stadium just loses a point for the astroturf. If management installed grass or the new imitation grass like in Tampa, SkyDome would be a great venue for baseball.
