Six Flags has rides for every age! My young daughter just loved the Looney Toon Section. It has many shows, shops, and food courts. Yes, it can get crowded but it is not as bad if you go during the week instead of the weekend. For an all day event, the price is not bad. I would recommend it to everyone and can not wait until my next trip there!

Maybe it was just a little kid's perspective, but Six Flags circa 1970's seemed like a faraway, exotic and exciting place. There was a sense of history and adventure in the heavily themed areas of France, Spain, etc. I loved the density of the trees, the jungle-like feel of the riverboat ride and I miss every single one if its cheesy animatronic figures (indians, witch doctors, wolves and the like). The park was pure magic to me. And I LOVED it as evening grew near making skull island even more spooky. I can still see the evil grin of the villain straddling one flume of the log ride and the lumber jack threatening riders on the other. Don't even get me started on the cave. Speelunkers rule! The park has become so commercialized (i.e. Looney Toons - loved the old cartoons, hate the characters INVASION of the park). The characters seem to have tamed the Six Flags too much and the huge themeless (or comic themed - might as well be themeless) thrill rides don't provide that special atmosph... Read more

Built as the first Six Flags Park. Six Flags Over Texas. Themed to each country that once owned Texas (except the Gotham CIty section). They have Mr. freeze which is a VERY VERY good coaster. Batman: The Ride..ehh it's not that great. Texas Giant is pretty good too. Titan..Well thats' a really awsome coaster. 265 feet tall. And Judge Rot SCream i think is a fun ride. It's a Six Flags Park so don't expect it to be well, anything but thrills. They got Shockkwave near the bakc of the park. That's a VEry good ride. A MUST RIDE. It's notthe tallest or fastest. But it's REALLY good.

Six Flags Over Texas was a pretty disappointing theme park. I was surprised to find only a few rides that I enjoyed, or that I could even ride on. All of the rides are thrill rides, either a roller coaster or a ferris wheel, and they are pretty dull looking. Some nifty gift shops, and some pretty good food stands with fried dough and soft pretzels. Water fountains are spread across the theme parsk, and sprinklers also. There is only one water ride, which is a pretty disppointed sight. If you get free tickets, it would be OK to go, but otherwise it's a waste of time.
