HAHA. He's cool. I used his last name as my dog's middle name. I have a black german shepherd named Sinister Black

Mmm, not the strongest character in my mind. Doesn't ever seem to be fully developed. An odd site to see Mr Oldman playing a good guy too.

5 stars. I think Sirius Black is really fit. He didn't deserve the life he got. He was kind, caring and a bit immature. I'm totally in love with him.

The thing about Black is he's introduced as a villain until the end of the third book where we learn he was framed. You can't help but feel sorry for this character, he's framed, he's hunted, and ultimately dies with the wizarding world believing him to be a serial killer.

Another favourite Character of mine- was devestated when he died! I loved the rash/reckless quality to the character; his unpredictabilty, I think, made any scenes he is in, in the book, exciting. All things considered, stories don't get much sadder than Sirius'. Imprisoned for 12 years in Azkaban, constantly having to relive over and over the worst things that have ever happened to you and feeling that you (at least partly) caused the deaths of two of the people you cared about most in the world. With no family ties his friends were literally all he had- two of them dead, one responsible for their deaths who has seen him wrongfully accused of murder, and Lupin- the only possible remaining friend and ally for Sirius- believing for 12 years that Sirius was a murderer! Woah! He finally escapes but has to live 'undercover' for almost two years before dying just at the point where he was becoming so close to Harry.I loved those moments with Sirius when you managed to get a glimpse of the f... I couldn't relate to or form an attachment to Sirius at all.  I don't know what the fuss is all about.  Even though he is a good rebel, I still didn't like him.  I felt sorry for him.  He doesn't write to Harry in book 4 or 5, even when he could have.  He's mean to Kreacher, doesn't speak to Hermione (even though she's Harry's friend, too), and doesn't try to reconcile or bridge the communication gap between him and Snape.  He refuses to put his emotions aside for one second.

I'm giving Sirius five stars, because those are all the stars I have. He deserves a five star rating. Really. Not only is he very loyal, but he is also very imperfect which makes the character so relatable. The ladies are "all up ons" when it comes to Sirius, including me. Even if he doesn't make an appearance in book seven, he will certainly live on in our crazy imaginations.

I am in love with Sirius!! He is the best ever! No lie, when I read that he died, I started crying and my mom walked into my room asking me what happened and all I could say was that "HE DIED!!"  She thought I must have gone mental! Oh Sirius, I miss you so much, and if J.K. doesn't bring you back this summer in the seventh book there is going to be hell to pay!

Sirius is amazing! He has a kind heart and he is like the perfect friend. I am sad that he died and hoping that someone will find a way to bring him back!

I think that Sirius was a great character. He was a very arrogant teenager though. I liked when he tried to lead Snape to Lupin when he was a werewolf. Therefore killing him or making him into a werewolf too. Gary Oldman brings Sirius to life.

I love Sirius! I can't belive J.K.R made him die! Sirius and Harry really loved each other like father and son, and he came in at a great time in the books. Harry finally had someone to talk to. i still think they should have hugged more often! ^^ Also It was a stunning spell and not Avara Kedavra (sp.) so theyre is still hope!!!! (and if there isn't , im gonna hurt someone!!! :P )

Sirius Black...one of my favorite charrys. He came in at a good time in the books. He is awsome....he helps Harry and friends....he got out of azkaban to stay alive so he could kill Petter (scabbers) so he didn't go back to Voldemort. He is a great person and even though all he's been through he's still there when u need him and funny.

I don't understand what the fuss is about. He's not a verry deep character and his arrogance and immaturity ended up getting him killed. I think there are plenty of cooler characters in the series.

I love Sirius! He's got that scathing wit and humor, but he's also a little sensitive and kind of the tortured soul after so many years in Azkaban. He's so good to Harry, even though he often makes rash decisions and gets himself into trouble. I hope he comes back if you know what I mean. . .

i think Sirius came into the novels at a very good point. Harry finally has someone in his life to reach out to, and although that story line changes in a way i was not expecting in the latest HP book, it was alway nice to know that Harry was never really alone.

Ever since Alexander Dumas's "The Three Musketeers" I have never been so in love with a book character. Sirius has everything I would look for in a human being and in a literary character. He is not idealized but rather controversial in his own way. He is noble and brave, intelligent and able to take risks for the sake of others and in the name of justice. Sirius is what is missing from the lives of many kids and adults all over the world!

I am probably Sirius' biggest fan. His character is so mysterious and brooding, and his deep affection for Harry is touching, as he has almost no close connections with people in the wizarding world anymore. When Harry found his godfather, a little hole inside heart filled up. He had someone to talk to, like a parent, which he never before had. I found myself so emotionally involved with Sirius' character - laughing with him and crying over his unfortunate fate. J.K Rowling is an amazing author to have that power over her readers.

Sirius has always been one of the cooler characters in HP. I loved him immediately on his first proper appearance, and OotP only increased my admiration. Being born in such a family, I can hardly blame him for his conduct towards Snape at 15 years old. Moreover his closeness to Remus, Harry and his friends is so genuine, and his rivalry with Snape makes him all too realistic. I just wish it was anyone else but him (and maybe Remus) who passed through that arch...

I think thar Sirius is one of the most charming characters that JK Rowling has ever created. It's not just a flatten-minded character, he's got a really well elaborated background. You learn to love the character as you get to know more about his past. I´m really sorry about what happened to him in the end...

Sirius is definitely my favorite character. How could he not be? He's honest, he's honorable, he can turn into a giant black dog, he's cooler than all hell, and he's a cynical "black sheep" of the family. What's not to love?

While I feel a bit silly rating characters from a "children's" movie, I can't help but admit that I loved both the movies and the books. Sirius Black turned out to be one of my favorite characters since reading his introduction in the third book. He seems compassionate, although there is a little bit about him in the fifth book pertaining to Professor Snape. Anyways, I don't know what to say about the fact that I heard that Gary Oldman might possibly be playing this part.
