I've had a Simplicity 7 Series vacuum for quite a few years. I HATE IT!!! I have taken to the store where I bought it numerous times, they "fix" it then I will have another problem with it. The first year I had the vacuum I had it in the shop at least 3-4 times. I asked for a new one since the one I have is basically a lemon and it got me no-where. Here are some of the problmes with this vacuum: 1. It keeps wanting too "fall" over (the handle part won't stay upright" 2. It whistles and won't stop making the noise 3. It blows dust, lint, etc. all over the room when I vacuum 4. the height adjustment won't adjust properly 5. the attachment pieces are so cheap they keep falling apart. 6. The company is part of the problem.....I've written the company a couple times and gotten no response from them 7. The store where I bought the vacuum is also part of the problem.......when I brought the vacuum in for repair 3-4 times in less than a year of owning the vacuum, they should ha... Read more

I purchased a Simplicity 'Freedom' Series vacuum from a local dealer in Kansas City about 4 years ago. This was sold to me as a cheaper & better vacuum as compared to the Oreck vacuum. I use this vacuum as a second 'quick pickup' vacuum, my Rainbow E Series is my primary vacuum (which I love). I have used this Simplicity vacuum lightly over 4 years (I have mostly hardwoods and some area rugs), and 2 weeks ago it started making 'sounds', so I took it to the dealer for repair. I paid $289.00 for this 'great' vacuum, and now it need a new motor, fan and more.... total repair cost is $97.00... so far I've spend 386.00 on this great machine, not counting their expensive bags. IMO, this is a very overpriced & cheap vacuum. I attempted to contact their customer service department and received NO e-mail or phone call back. $386.00 for 4 years of service is horrible. You can buy a nice vacuum at target for far less and it will give you years more of service or buy a great used Rainbow ... Read more

I'm just shopping around for vacuum cleaners and noticed one, available as a recommended item at a local vacuum cleaner store as a bit less pricey than the top quality Miele (mieleUSA.com), Sebo (sebo--vacuums.com) and Filter Queen (http://www.filterqueen.com/), isn't reviewed on RateItAll.com so I added the category so I can get some critiques of the product. I noticed by viewing their website that not only do they have an American factory to manufacture the product, but they're actually moving some manufacturing capability FROM Korea and China to their US plant! Kudos to them! From the models available they seem to run around $200 to $300 for what seems like a pretty high quality product, one only 8-9 lbs with a HEPA filter, for example. Which in my opinion is a pretty reasonable price range - I may travel 20 miles to the local vacuum store to find out more about this brand. If you own one or know anything about it, please write a review to let me know!
