I don't like him because his voice is not pleasant, and he is constantly making errors in his reporting. Plus he is arrogant and no one really cares for his emotional tirades, points of view.

I like Shepard Smith, there is nothing wrong with his news reporting. He said when he started he was just going to report new as it is he did not want to get in to the politics of any news that he was reporting

Probably the only unbiased anchor at the FOX News Channel. My guess is that he won't be there for long. His Hurricane Katrina coverage is excellent and he is not afraid to call out his nutty co-workers.

I do not watch his 2 programs any longer, nor does anyone else I know that watches FNC. He is so arrogant, outrageously liberal, (making snide off the cuff remarks about Bush like we're too stupid to get it). He is constantly tripping over his own words, making too many errors. The way he asks his guest questions---"So don't you think Bush will go down as the worst President ever?" This is fair and balanced? This is journalism? AND the most obnoxious aspect, Shep thinks he is an expert on EVERYTHING, from music, movies, food, vacations, sports, finance, politics, etc. NOT!!! And he lives in a house on Long Island with Rick Rosenthal???? Kinda weird for a multimillionaire in his 40's that portends to be straight. He needs a stylist as his clothing is shockingly bad!! Purple and orange striped suits??? And his constant blabbing about Ole Miss, like it's the only school in the country. YIKES!!

I've been watching Shepard Smith for six years, and last night he is the reason I will boycott Fox News. Last night after the election, he said, "If you're a conservative, and you're angry - get over yourself." He needs to get over himself! Must be nice to be an overpaid news anchor that can afford to give away most of his money to the government to share with the "lazy" class since he'll still have more than most of us will ever achieve.

He says "now you know the news" after reporting 2 or 3 stories! Doesn't he realize what he's saying?

Shep tends to be a tad melodramatic at times and I don't care for that. He is reading the news and keep it at that.

Has a blank, vapid look. Too much botox perhaps? Outside of that, I think he comes off as a nice person. His Katrina coverage impressed me.

Did a very competent job reporting on the Katrina disaster and other recent important international news stories. Further, not only can he improvise on the spot, he's actually got a natural sense of humor, as seemingly he's at ease in his own skin. He loses a star, however, for frequently labeling Al Qaeda or whoever's this weeks international threat (to the U.S.) "the bad guys." C'mon Shep, grade school kiddies are not your target audiance, ok??

I am not a fan of Fox News at ALL (Anderson Cooper is my hero) but I was watching him on Hannity & Colmes (sp?) the other night (with Geraldo Rivera crying) and I thought Smith did an excellent job of portraying just how hard this is on the journalists down there. I felt he was being really truthful and speaking from his heart. He certainly doesn't sugar coat anything & he's right to the point. Good stuff! I hope he quits Fox & comes over to the otherside and joins CNN!

Mr. Smith was the best reporter through Katrina, be really touched my heart and so many others. HONESTLY I felt as if he was hurting with the rest of the victims. Why was all those people still left on the bridge, he had a good point! As he watched the hungry literally starve to death his heart was aching just like the rest of us. I was beginning to wonder what country we really lived in, because it sure in the Hell wasn't the USA DENKSTER FROM ILLINOIS

have been watching all day long since Monday, Fox's coverage of Katrina. I am taking this time to highly commend the on site reporting of Shepard Smith. To watch him every day stumbling at first, feeling out of place asking the survivors Are you OK, as they emerge from the 2 feet plus water filled with God knows what. Every day he grew. Every day you could see his professional struggle with object, unbiased reporting. But as each day past, and what Shepard Smith thought should be happening for the survivors on the elevated highway, the convention center and the Stadium - he petitioned over and over to the 'Forces in supposed Control/Power' through the cameras lens. He tried his best to stay professional but by Thursday and Friday the Horror of the Deluge had entered his will, mind, and spirit. Last night, Friday evening, I was glued to his every word, petition, and eyes watering with anger over the Horror and Inaction all about him. He short, curt responses to the Blowhards O'Reilly... Lst time I checked, editorial and commentary are not synonomous with journalism. ANYONE who actually went to journalism school learned about this difference between opinion and fact in Journalism 101.

Shepard is still one of the best on TV. Showed his most emotional side when he did the Columbine High school tragedy coverage in 1999. Expressed his concerns fully. He shows a lot of enthusiasm when he comes on his 7 pm show, as if he's ready to do the news before anyone else. He still has that Mississippi drawl in his low speaking voice, given that that's where he's from. Rick Folbaum is riding on his tail on the network--I hope they don't cross faces at a New York bar and start a fight for jockeying for the top spot. Shep, as he likes to be called, is what makes that network click now.

Not all that, thinks he is however! Once 360 with Anderson Cooper came on, I completely forgot that Shep existed until I was surfing the channels during a commercial break one day recently. Not fair and balanced, altho probably a lot more honest than the other clowns at Fox News. I just don't have time for Republican sponsored TV.

Shepard Smith reports news accurately and thoughtfully. No spins, just fair and balanced reporting which just proves more that Fox News is fair and balanced. As a result, that makes Fox News Channel the most trusted name in news. Period.

Short on intellect, pretty boy from old TV. Like anyone at Fox, he will never get a job anywhere that is not owned by Murdoch. No one in real news can afford to hire someone from a propaganda organization...he has shot his credibility except to the whackos..who are legions.

I like Shepp. He is one of the few who Fair and Balanced actually holds true. His wit is solid and the interaction he has with the staff, particulary Skinnerville, shows he's a likeable sort. After Peter Jennings, he's probably the one anchor I would trust.

I like him. He can be a bellicose buzzard. But I found him a comfort after 9/11 the way he pit-bullishly went after sympathizers of reactionary Islamists. His show, The Point, was entertaining. Fair and Balanced.

One of the best reporters on air today. He's got a great sense of humor, as evidenced by the uproarious G-Block and other segments (such as Cool Critters and Shot of the Day). Good broadcast voice that is easy to understand and doesn't sound too realistic.
