Excellent food, portions are plentiful, quality of food is the best in town. Moderate price and excellent service. Highly suggest for all Chinese cuisines.

I love Sesame. The food is always great tasting, hot, and the portions are gigantic. You can't beat their lunch specials. For right around $5.00 you get a main dish, fried rice, and a crab rangoon. This is no scaled down portion of a "dinner" dish though, it's still a full sized portion. I always have leftovers. Their sesame chicken is the best thing on the menu. You get all white meat chicken and their sauce is incredible. It's not the normal brown sauce that you get from every other Chinese place I've ever been to, it's a clear sauce that tastes great. I recommend it to anyone. You'll pay the same amount for dinner here as you will anywhere else so the prices are competitive. If you've never been and are looking for some great food, I highly suggest the drive to Sesame.

This is the worst Chinese Restaurant that I think I have ever been to. The waitress was very rude. We arrived a few minutes after the "lunch special" window closed, so we had no discounted menu to select from. Despite the prices being exceptionally high, as we did not arrive in time I could still understand no discount. After further inspecting the menu, we discovered that they charged for literally everything. INCLUDING .20cents per fortune cookie. The food came out about 50 or 60 seconds after we ordered it, as if it had been pre-prepared. It was a high price to pay for something that royally sucked. It then took us waiting 10 minutes for us to FIND the waitress and ASK for the check. She then took 15-20 mins to DELIVER the check to us. This lousy place is in a dying part of town, and it seems as if they have no interest in surviving through these tough economic times. I do not recommend this place unless you really hate yourself. You'd think for being two of only three ... Read more

Not only do they not deliver, but they charge more and do not include appetizers or soft drinks with the lunch specials. Our company orders weekly and decided to try diff Chinese Restaurants and noone had anything good to say about their dinner. I litteraly feel sick to my stomach after eating their food. I would strongly suggest everyone who thinks this is the best ever should try a few others. We still have found noone better than Lein Yu next to Chevy's in South County...

I'm a spoiled Pacific Northwesterner who grew up eating Japanese, Canotnese, Chinese, Thai, and all sorts of Asian cuisine... I won't call it the best Chinese food in Saint Louis but it's definately up there. What really makes this place outstanding is the amazing service and hospitality of the staff... The decor is a little campy, the whole atmosphere a little old school but the prices are within the normal range for Chinese and the food is fast, fresh and heads above the slop other places in this city try to pass off as Chinese. I live about 15 minutes away and it was well worth the travel. I highly reccomend making the trek out to Sesame.

I ordered cashew chicken, kung pao chicken and crab rangoon to go. All the food was definitely good and you could tell the quality of the ingredients was better than some of the other chinese resturants around here. I ordered and it was ready in 10 minutes. Really nice! Prices are pretty standard for chinese food. We'll go back.

This really is the best Chinese restaurant in St. Louis. Period. The restaurant itself is great, with beautifully designed tables (each one unique) and lovely asian art adorning the walls. The service is excellent- in the countless times I've visted, I've never one had a bad experience. The food is always served promptly, and the hot tea is always flowing- no charge. And the food....oh, the food. Nowhere will you find such high quality Chinese food, in such enormous portions. And for all this? 5 dollars a person for lunch; ten for dinner. Including drinks (if you drink tea, which all 'authentic' diners do). This place is a marvel. Don't miss it.

This is the best Chinese food in the area. I will drive 60 miles just to eat here. The Governor's Shrimp is my favorite dish as well as the Cold Noodles appeitzer. I lived in Springfield, MO for three years while I was going to college, and when I came home to visit, Mom and Dad knew they had to take me here. The Chinese restaurants in Springfield did not measure up to Sesame. I tell everyone I know it is worth the drive, no matter how far or how close you live. And yes, they do take reservations for small and large parties.
