Seaport Village has been my favorite place to visit every time we come to San Diego. I love the ocean waterfront walkway, the flowers and plants, great restaurants and shops. The shops are unique--they are not what you see in a shopping mall. It's a lovely place to buy gifts and something special for yourself. The dining is wonderful. The restaurants have outdoor dining patios facing the ocean or if you prefer, you can dine indoors. Our best pictures always come from Seaport Village. It's fun to take a ride on the fabulous vintage cararousel. For a glorious day--Seaport Village is the place to go!

Though my family and I live in San Diego, whenever I want to feel as if I am away from it all ( a mental vacation), we go down to Seaport Village. From the live music playing in the gazebos, to the water front walkway you can relax , watch the seagulls, fly a kite, eat an ice cream cone , get an animal balloon and watch all of the boats go by. Seaport makes for a refreshing change of pace from our everyday lives.

I am a lifetime NYer but have had the privilege of spending time in Seaport Village a number of times. I love the relaxed atmosphere, wonderful shops and excellent places to dine. My whole family, from children to senior citizens loved the ability to spread out and explore all within the safe confines of Seaport Village. I would highly recommend it.

I first went to San Diego with my fiance two years ago and we stayed at the Manchester Grand. If you walk out the back and down the stairs, you're transported to a quaint little area where people can be seen strolling around just taking in the view (and perhaps a Ben n Jerry's ice cream cone or two!). There are a variety of shops and restaurants there (some of which boast the best lobster bisque I've ever had! (and I don't even like sea food!)). Its a great place to buy anything, from touristy stuff to beautiful silver pieces, or even stop by the Harley store over there! If you're not in the mood to sit down and eat at one of the restaurants along the marina (to which I say, you're missing out!), you can go to the food court area and pick from a variety of small vendors. I also think it's great that Seaport Village has a map you can print out to help you locate certain shops, and if you sign up for their newsletter you even get coupons for some of the shops there. It's definitely... Read more

Hmm, where to begin! Seaport village is spectacular! The view, shops, people, everything is just awesome! Even the seagulls can make you smile! Dinner and a little walk makes for an amazing night! I would recommend that everyone who gets a chance goes at least once! xoxox ~Sharona

I've been going to Seaport Village since I was a very small child and it has always held a special place in my heart. I always looked forward to the candy store near the gazebo, where we'd get candy apples or fudge (or both) and dance to the music outside, then pop into the toy store next door. As an adult I still love the candy store (I got baby shower party favors there and they were a big success), plus the bookstore/coffee shop and salads from the Greek place. Seaport Village is also a nice spot to bring a picnic and sit under a tree overlooking the bay. Our family loves it!
