Thu Jan 05 2012Like most reviewers say, this is a cheaper whiskey ok for mixing, but not the best for sipping. Many of the blended Canadian whiskeys are all similar in this respect. If you want a more sophisticated whiskey, you will find Jack Daniels is better, but a lot more expensive. Personally, I prefer Jim Beam Bourbon for not that much more cost. Jim Beam is better as any mixer, and is actually decent as a sipping spirit for the cost.

Wed Mar 09 2011Key ingredient in the "Seven and Seven" so-called cocktail. Much like cow shit is the key ingredient in manure.

Thu Jun 17 2010I'll take this over VO any day because of the price. It maybe weaker in the taste department than VO; however, it is only 15.99 per a 1.75 L. Remember weak on taste, not unpleasant.

Sun May 16 2010Not the best straight whiskey, although still average. Seven and Seven is an amazing cocktail.

Wed Aug 19 2009Rated high because it's an excellent cheap mixing whiskey, the perfect thing for those friends who always seem to forget to bring something for the party.

Fri Jan 30 2009Not impressed with 7 crown, on it's own. I agree that it goes well mixed, to help kill some of the taste...like the classic 7 and 7-up. However,I am more of a sipping/savoring whiskey drinker and I've had better blended whiskeys. 7 Crown has a little too much "burn" on the way down for me.

Mon Dec 08 2008a good whiskey so long as your taste for whiskey is sweet. I usually prefer a dry whisk, but this was actually quite pleasant. Great price as far as whiskeys go, 12 amurrrrican dollars for 3/4ths of a liter. Will warm you up for the holidays, but come new years, invest in some JB or JD, costly but better taste. Overall a good drink straight shot with some tea on the side. Wouldnt recommend with any fizzy beverage other than 7 up (7 and 7 classic :D)

Thu Mar 13 2008This is an old time whiskey. My buddy, Irv Garcelon, is a fan of this stuff. Me, I never used it one way or the other. It is ok on the average.

Fri Nov 30 2007I'm a big fan. Obviously not as good as more expensive whiskeys but better than it's price.

Tue Apr 19 2005The smoothest whisky I've ever tried - it tastes good either straight or in numerous savory cocktail combinations...a few I'll submit: Seagrams's 7 & 7-Up w/lime, 7 with Canada Dry Ginger Ale w/lime, and surprisingly the best IMO, 7 & DIET COKE w/lime. Although Jack Daniels & Southern Comfort are good as well, Seagram's is a more sophisticated taste to my palate and I always keep a bootle on hand for company. In fact my relatives from Brazil like it so much that whenever I go there I bring with me a 2 liter of Seagram's to give them as they aren't able to purchase it there. Great stuff, to be taken in moderation!
