From the outside, Scully's just looks like a run of the mill neighborhood bar. We were so surprised by the quality of the food! I expected typical greasy bar food and got escargot! Go figure. Plus you can shoot pool which makes for a laid back, inexpensive night out.

My friends and I have been going to this place for a couple of years now on Wednesday nights which is karaoke night. The DJ does an excellent job and we enjoy HIS show, HOWEVER the way that customers are treated in this place - by the staff and ESPECIALLY by the management , is horrific. When we first started going there, five years ago, they had the air conditioning on what felt like 90 degrees - always with the excuse that it was getting fixed soon (and that lasted 5years) THEN they started 'reserving tables' as if they were 'Tavern on the Green' or some high class restaurant, instead of a run down bar with a decrepit ceiling and peeling paint!!!. But LAST NIGHTwas the LAST STRAW. I was told by the waitress that they were NO LONGER serving WATER when asked, and that you HAD to buy bottled water at $1.75 cents for what looked like a child size mini bottle, even though we had bought beer and food! RIDICULOUS!! And when I started looking around the room ALL THE TABLES IN THERE had gl... Read more

Many of us frequent this place every Wed night, religiously, spending our hard-earned dollars on food & drink, bringing friends, having a great time at karaoke. Last night, they had the NERVE to NOT serve a glass of water to me - THEY INSISTED I BUY A TINY BOTTLE OF WATER FOR $1.75!!! I have never in my life heard of a restaurant doing this. It shows utter disregard, disrespect and disloyalty to customers who SUPPORT this restaurant/bar EVERY WEEK. UNBELIEVABLE. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Me and and my girlfriend only visit Scully's on Wednesday nights. We both agree think that the menu is somewhat comparable to a Denny's at best. We find the burgers, fries, chicken tenders palatable to say the least. Scully's does have a nice variety of beer, though it would be nice if they served brands like Killians or Amber Bach. The reason we only visit on Wednesdays is the karaoke, Boogieman George does an awesome job with his charm, charisma, friendliness, humor and clever wit. His sometime substitute Angi doesnt seem to know how to create a great karaoke sound but just enjoys parading around and annoying everyone like a two bit floozy. The biggest grievance we have about Scully's is why the management find it necessary to be misers with the air conditioning. Each time we visit , it seems that either the A/C is not on or not functioning (Ceiling fans now there is a concept! ) Maybe its a ploy for them to keep it humid and muggy so that you can spend more money on beverages. Its k... Read more

In Short Who says that sports bar grub has to be boring? This longstanding tavern serves up the burger and wings basics, of course, but really turns heads with unexpected offerings like escargot, fried green tomatoes, and a clam strip-topped Caesar salad. The décor is more expected of a sports bar, though, with dining room booths surrounding billiard tables and raised table seating by the bar. It's a cozy watering hole, but it's also family friendly. Really. There's even a kid's menu to prove it.

AFTER SEEING IT ON TV (DINERS, DRIVE-INS, AND DIVES) WE WENT LAST FRIDAY NIGHT. THERE WERE 6 OF US & WE ALL REALLY, REALLY ENJOYED OURSELVES!!! WE THOUGHT THE FOOD WAS GREAT & THE SERVICE TOO. FIRST OF ALL, THEY HAVE A FULL BAR (LIQUOR), AS WELL AS BEER AND WINE (A NICE EXTENDED WINE LIST, TOO!). A FEW IN OUR GROUP HAD COCKTAILS. WE ALL SHARED APPETIZERS...FRIED GREEN TOMATOES (LIKE MY MOM USED TO MAKE), ESCARGOT (EXCELLENT), PAN SEARED AHI TUNA (MY FAVORITE APPETIZER THAT WE ORDERED), & MUSCLES PROVENCAL (HUGE ORDER, VERY JUICY, AND FLAVORFUL). FOR DINNER (AFTER SEEING IT ON TV) I HAD THE ENCRUSTED DOLPHIN SANDWICH (IT WAS AWESOME. I LOVED THE HOMEMADE TARTAR SAUCE), MY HUSBAND HAD A BIG NEW YORK STRIP STEAK THAT HE REALLY ENJOYED, MY FRIEND HAD THEIR PORK SHANK THAT WAS SERVED LIKE A STANDING RIB ROAST & IT HAD A GARLIC / ROSEMARY SAUCE OVER TOP (WHICH I TASTED AND IT WAS GOOD ON THE MASHED POTATOES). ANTOHER PERSON HAD THE FRIED SHRIMP DINNER (IT LOOKED GOOD-BUTTERFLIED OPEN... Read more

Look I work there, and I am happy to say that I have never been employed by nicer, more conscientious owners, who work there all the time to make sure that the food and service are a step or four above the rest. Sure there might be moments where all things cannot be done the way we would like them done, though we do try to offer the best food at prices that are not cheap, yet reasonable. Chris and Cass, the owners there, are constantly trying to offer an impressive meal in a festive atmosphere. There is music being played on most evenings, TVs to catch up on your important political or sporting events and pool tables to see who really has skills. All of which can be enjoyed while eating delicious mussels in a garlic and white wine sauce, and then cutting into a thick steak any evening or the Prime Rib that is available only during Wednesdays dinner that starts at 6 PM. There are moments during the rush of customers that TV time has brought us, when our customers have not received ... Read more

As I watched Diners, Drive-ins and Dives I saw they had featured Scully's Tavern on their episode "Something Different". Guy Fieri made it seem like Scully's was some kind of hidden gem. Well, if u ask me, I would have rather they kept it hidden!!! We had the Incrusted Dolphin Sandwich that was featured on the show and it was nothing to brag about. We also had the Scampi Wings that were also featured on the show and they were also NOTHING to brag about. The chicken fingers sucked and the ribs weren't much better. All in all, I think Guy Fieri must have been DRUNK when he went to Scully's Tavern, and that's why he said the food was so good. And the food wasn't cheap either. They said they had lunch specials, but they weren't very special. I looked it up online before we went to see the prices and when we got to the restaurant the prices were jacked-up $2-$3 per entree. It set us back about $50....I would have rather gone to Outback Steackhouse and had two 16oz prime ribs with 2 for 1 d... Read more
