Scott Stadium gets a 2 from me because it's a very nice stadium. The problem with it is the fans who halfway pack it on Saturdays. UVa fans do not get loud at all and are a bunch of stuck-up pricks. They wear ties to games, which is lame as hell. Tailgaiting is a joke there too because my idea of tailgaiting does not include wine. Nice stadium, pathetic fans sums it up.

Simply the worst fan experience in all of college football. The stadium isn't nicknamed The Library for nothing. The only time the fanbase gets excited is when one of two things happen: 1) They're trying to exit before halftime. 2) They score a touchdown and sing the New Year's song. The fanbase doesn't have a clue on how to be good fans, they're always copying VT and looking for ideas. When VT instituted "The Walk," lo and behold, UVA was quick to copy. When VT started wearing Team United bracelets, UVA copied. When VT started the Orange Effect, UVA copied. Completely unoriginal to say the least. Always looking to big brother for ideas. Furthermore, the players get really tired of hearing the New Years song after each TD. Could you imagine scoring a TD and watching your stadium swing side to side as they sing Happy New Years? Talk about a climactic ending. And then most of the fanbase wears ties to their games. They consider football a "gentleman's sport," and those wh... Read more

***NEWS FLASH*** We will be holding fan classes for the hooos next fall - 1 credit class, but well worth it. A great addition to any resume. **NOTE** you won't even have to wear a tie or even a dress shirt for that matter. Very nice stadium... and that's about it.

Gay musketeer mascott. Bunch of rude fans that think they are the sh*t. At least in west Virginia, its not legal to marry your cousin.

Home of the pompous, bubbleheaded, pseudo-intellectual pretenders and the worst team in the Virginias.

Great place to watch a game. Fans are some of the least knowlegeable in the country.

Attractive stadium since upgrades/renovation a few years ago. Not as loud as some big time schools and stadiums, but getting better every year. Students go to games as much to socialize as to watch the game itself. Town is compact, so dinner/bars are a short walk across campus. Parking can be a pain - visitors without parking passes should park early and walk half mile to stadium (or take shuttle if you want to wait for it).

Scott Stadium is indeed a beautiful facility. But if I were a football recruit, I really wouldn't be impressed by the atmosphere. UVA has made great strides in trying to create a big time football experience, but the tie-wearing, wine and cheese consuming, auld-lang-syne-swaying, sit-on-your-hands- and-chat-about-makeovers-with-your-boyfriend fans just aren't buying it.

Significantly improved structure, but the fans are still the same. Bring your redcoat and hound, we are going fox hunting. Total f@gtime material. Although several of the frats across from the stadium do have some good parties. Knocked out Fred Barnes at a fight there once, nothing political, he just earned it.

Stadium should be nicknamed The Church 1) You have to wear a tie 2) It is very quite 3) Lots of praying 4) and some rare but occasional singing

Scott is a beautiful venue that gets rocking and has been a house of horros for most opponents including NCSU. The fans are very vocal (esp for night games) without being overly rude. For the Thursday night contest against Klumpson last year, Tirico, Herbstreet, and Corso gushed over the atmosphere and said they wish they could go there every Thursday night. I can't disagree and look forward to our game there in '06.

VT fan here... I give the 'Hoos credit for improving the place. It really is a pretty facility and the campus, while not nearly as beautiful as their fans will tell you, is a nice enough place. They have the stupidest entrance of any team I've seen -- an animated Cavalier comes over the jumbotron, it is kind of cute but certainly not intimidating. They have the most feminine mascot in football (I can say that, I'm a gay guy)... tailgating is pretty good... public parking is hell and gone from the stadium, so be prepared to hike or ride an old run down bus that they use to carry people to the stadium and back.

No doubt it's a pretty stadium., but letting your rival get a significant amount of good tickets to your own rivalry game is inexcusable. Did I mention they have a pergola?

The swaying is enough to make even LSU's Death Valley seem like a fairy festival...and this is no Death Valley. The surroundings make me want to break out a nice bottle of wine and propose to my girlfriend, not watch football.

The statdium looks pretty good. But looks does not a football stadium make. The place is only semi-loud on third downs and that is only for their big games. Bring in an ok team and well, they don't call it the library for nothing. Entrance is the worst in college football. So is the swaying.

If this place was a person it would have gotten aids a long time ago because it is about as gay as they come. Ties, Cheese, hand holding, leaving when your team is down by 3, oh yeah and their founder had an affair with one of his servants. Not to mention their Stadium followed in the way of their balconies at graduation and part of it collapsed. Unfortunately no one was killed.

If you like arrogant and cocky people who have no reason to be and if you want to be treated inferior this is the place to go. Good thing about it is they all leave pretty early, many at halftime. Only somewhat loud on big games and if they are having a decent year. Students dont know how to really cheer for a football team. Are some decent older fans. Everything about being there seems kinda sissy or something. The sway, the entrance, the cav-man its not what u really think of for a college game.

Our stadium is o.k. The bowl type configuration is kind of a bore. Our fans look more like they are going to a opera than a football game. The parking lots are full of people eating and drinking wine and cheese before games. When the team scores we play old lang sin and hold hands with each other. Luckily I'm drunk when that happens. I just wish our stadium was as loud as Virginia Tech's, those people know how to watch a football game. Overall its a average atmosphere when you compare it to the big dogs of college football.

If you want to go some where where all the fans are snobs and jerks go here. We have been to a game there where we were told to stop clapping by some uva jerk. You can go when they are playing Tech and always get good seats for the 2nd half because all the UVA fans have left cause there a bunch of losers who don't support their team. The stadium is filled with a bunch of jerks. O yea there is one good thing about the stadium you can bring a book becuase the fans are so quiet, its like a library without a bookshelf when Tech fans are not there. Pass the whine and cheese UVA fans. ACC CHAMPS

Scott Stadium has been greatly improved over the years and the result is a really beautiful stadium that has a nice environment due to its position on the edge of campus (or as Hoos would say the grounds). All of the facilities are top-rate and its a great stadium to get into, out of, move about, buy concessions with ease, etc. Parking is far away for visitors, but still a better situation than that of many schools. I still think UVa has a long way to go in terms of crowd noise. At times, it's loud, but only on a few very special occasions has the crowd made the type of sustained, crazy noise of the game-impacting variety. It's not what I would call an intimidating environment for the opposing team, but usually a pleasant experience for the visiting fan.

When I went to Scott Stadium for the first time this past year for the Clemson-UVA game I was so surprised by how mean the fans were, but hey they arnt supposed to be nice to you are they? Very beautiful stadium, I thought it was louder than Doak at FSU but thats just me. The students surprised me most when they raced down the hill to get their seats in the student section. Very traditional atmosphere for a team with little tradition. Band sounds horribale over the loud speakers, about the only program that plays their band over loudspeakers that I've ever seen. Also band in their first year with a mrching band still has to much pep in them, needs to be a football game not a basketball game. Very different atmosphere for football game and town seems squished together and you can't move in your car after game is over. Also, I had to pay $25 to park?!?!?!? What's up with that?
