Sat Sep 19 2009Welcome to Savmor or Save LESS is more like it. I have no problem with what I paid for the actual rental itself. What truly sucks is their policy of charging you 7.95 if you don't bring your gas receipt back. When I burn a half a tank of fuel and replace it at the corner right by the rental car return, I don't expect to be charged 8 bucks for doing what I am supposed to do. The girl at the counter didn't tell me to bring the receipt back....nor should I have to....the car is either full of fuel or it isn't right? So, I go to Vegas on business at least once a month. That means that about 12 times a year I will be speaking to everyone in line at Savmor and explaining to them how the company tries to profit (read screw in this case) of people who don't know or forget to get their receipt even though they filled the tank. I hope it was worth the 8 bucks you stole from me. Not only did you lose a customer....you will lose more at the counter and there's nothing you can do about it. ... Read more

Tue Aug 04 2009I rented a Aveo from Savmor rent a car in Vegas 7-24 to 7-26 09. I was totaly disastified, from the bait and switch tactic to renting me a piece of junk. The car needed a tune-up, the rear speakers didn't work but most of all a unsafe vehicle. The drivers side rear tire was worn below the tread line, i had to inflate it a few times during my ride to grand canyon. Upon, dropping the vehicle off, I explained my concerns to the customer service rep at the Tropicana and she did not offer any resolution or showed remorse. I will never rent from them again.

Thu Sep 18 2008I had a great experience with Savmor. Very professional. In reading the other reviews I see things like rip off insurance etc. Never mentioning a name of who they talked to. I personally don't have my own insurance and would never dream of renting a car without it. If there is an accident you have no problems of dealing with insurance companies for months. I understood the mileage restriction with no problem. Not exactly rocket science. . . Highly recommend this company.

Sat Sep 22 2007Rating 1 star because that is the lowest rating possible, but it doesn't deserve even a half star. I recently rented from Savmor rentacar, and my god is this place a rip off. Like many other people, I was ripped off for excess unlimited mileage. Unlimited miles - yah right, only if it's local, and the contract right away says 150mi/day so the second you authograph that you are screwed - even the credit card company can't do anything about this. Do any of you know if this is grounds for some law suit, maybe a class action lawsuit? If I didn't live so far away, I would be taking legal action for fraud. When I returned my car, I made the next victim aware of the scam and no suprise they weren't aware of the mileage limitations. Thankfully, they listened to me and went somewhere else. The car was given to me without a single drop of water in the winshield washing fluid tank. Good luck filling it up in a desert. All I can say folks, is save yourself the headache, make a ... Tue Aug 07 2007I had very bad experience renting a car from SAVMOR Rent A Car in Las Vegas, because this tiny company practices false advertisement on Internet (I was not the only victim, returning my car I witnessed the same problem with another customer). I made a reservation for a car with UNLIMITED mileage, and received a written confirmation which clearly stated my rent has UNLIMITED MILEAGE without any footnotes, conditions or comments. When I arrived to SAVMOR office at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, I was told that unlimited mileage means 150 miles per day. Their definition of unlimited mileage was never mentioned in any customer accessible document neither in reservation confirmation, nor on SAVMOR web site (which just a primitive page with a phone number), nor in their Customer Agreement. Such SAVMOR practice bait and switch when a customer has no negotiating power, surely constitutes false advertisement, but very little you can do against it in the middle of the nig... Read more

Thu Jun 28 2007I recently had a very bad experience with Savmor Rent A Car and I will never rent from them again. First, Savmor forced me to pay for an upgrade from the economy car that I had reserved to a larger vehicle because they supposedly have a policy against allowing economy vehicles to be taken out of state, a major burden considering how close Las Vegas is to three other states. I pointed out to the sales staff that this policy was never mentioned anywhere on their website, which I had read carefully when I made the reservation. The sales person then accused me of lying and said I had not read the policies on the website. I then asked the sales person to show me where in their policies this policy is listed. The sales person then spent several minutes searching through their policies before admitting that they were unable to find this supposed policy. At that point the sales person did not apologize and continued to insist that I pay the full price for the upgrade, saying that I should call... Read more

Mon Jun 26 2006Savmor is a ripoff. We actually got charged more than if we rented from another company. They also "quietly" charged us for "coverage" charges when we declined. Called the president and basically "we have your money, we don't care about you" additude. Don't ever rent from them!
