Funny but doesn't engage the brain enough.

It's okay but not something I would make sure to watch!

Don Pardo served as the announcer for the series when it first began, and has performed as the show's announcer for all seasons except for season 7, when Mel Brandt and Bill Hanrahan filled that role. Pardo, who was 57 when the show debuted, and after retiring from NBC in 2004 at age 86, continued until 2010 to fly in from his home in Tucson, Arizona to introduce the show. Pardo announced in 2010 that for the 36th season, at age 92, he would pre-record his parts from his home in Arizona rather than performing live in New York City

Not as good as it used to be

The original was great. It has now run it's course, but refuses to die.

Talent's not that great these days.

Going downhill but still should around for a couple more years.

these comedians were great, all in their own greatness. as you can see they moved to higher prospects.

Great show with amazing humor. I've enjoyed it for many years and most of my favorite comedians started on SNL. :)

Can't beat Mad TV

I'm giving it 2 stars because it used to be great... Currently it sucks. Does anyone even watch it anymore? I'm 25, what's the target audience?

I don't really watch TV. I have seen a few episodes. SNL has provided a jumping off spot for many fne actors and comedians.

American Icon...How many great TV and Movie personalities have come from SNL ? It's a big number.

Funny, but not as biting funny as the early days. Getting a little politically correct and losing its edge

I miss the old days of SNL, but I love the work the actors produce when they leave it (like 30 Rock)

I have watched snl since i was 6 or 7 years old, i have literally grown up watching it every saturday night, best skit show ever in the history of tv. no show will ever come close to matching the talent that has been on that show if it ever goes off the air i will be in mourning.

the last good person was will. Back in the day it was good. sandler/farley/spade/others cast was the last good cast.

This show came on in the 70's and was good, but it was cancelled after 2 seasons. Just like there is only ONE Matrix movie. Oh, and only 3 star wars movies.

SNL has outlived it's prime! The skits are ridiculous and stupid! Makes me long for the good years of Aykroyd and Belushi.

Saturday night live has launched some of the most renounced comedian careers in history. Given the continued need for comic relief and the ripeness of opportunity for satire, SNL has the staying power to keep going. There is some great talent in the current cast, running the gamut from Kristen Wigg to Bill Hader to Wil Forte. Keenan Thompson and Bobby Moynihan are good but not as good as the former three. In my view, the weaknesses in the current show are really in the writing and not the actors. Who on earth thought up the WHAT UP WITH THAT sketch, for example? What brilliance and long lasting comedy is there to a talk show hosts that just interrupts everyone by singing. It's funny ONLY ONCE, and never again. Same with the GILLY DID IT, sketches. It's just not funny over and over again.
