Fri Apr 18 2008An awesome singer/songwriter. My voice coach used to always have me sing her songs. Good times. =)

Thu Mar 22 2007A beautiful voice, singing immensely powerful songs. Few can express melancholy more tastefully or effectively than Sarah McLachlan.

Sun Dec 03 2006Sarah has exemplified her musical talents through her lyrics and piano. She tells of her life stories through her lyrics while sharing them with the world. I saw Sarah at Lilith Fair and was star struck since then. I truly admire a woman that can penetrate ones own being with her own style and talent. Hats off to a wonderful woman!!!!!

Wed Apr 26 2006I was an early fan because she used to appear at a really good club/bar and a couple of small theatres in my town on a regular basis and was quite fresh sounding at the time. The quality of her work is still quite high but I think she suffers from a certain sameness in the sound of all of her songs over the course of the last few albums.

Mon Nov 14 2005Personally I can't stand that crop of women, Paula Cole, Sarah McLachlan Tori Amos. I think they were all hatched the same day by an evil feminist plot to disrupt the minds of young people. I'm not impressed with their injured animal voices either.

Mon May 16 2005She is good but not my thing!

Thu Jan 20 2005I went to a funeral and a Sara McLachlan concert broke out. Any man who says they like her should turn in their penis and get retrofitted with a vagina. I guess somebody who still thinks The Cars is the greatest group in history, just ain't gonna dig weepy, winey, purty little moosehead Sara.

Thu Dec 16 2004she's sexy with the long hair and low-cut shirts. kind of like a hippie sex chick. but i dont like her music. although i like her new video where all the money went to help--that made skizero cry.....C.C. Ridder (ha! that cracks me up!)

Fri May 07 2004Like her best selling song Angel, that's what she's like when she sings, her voice is lighter-than-air and very pure, and her piano parts highlight her voice very well. Only drawback, her lyrics have a lot of range, but her voice isn't flexible enough to sing anything but sweet and serene, even when she's singing about something otherwise.

Sat Apr 24 2004Personally, I love Sarah. She's very down to earth. Her music is very soothing, and mellows me out when I'm not in the best mood. I also love to sing along with her songs. I've liked her since I heard Angel, and from then on bought many of her CDs, even one's before that song came out. She's definitely a goddess that all women can appreciate and have respect for. I have pictures of her on my wall, and I'll admit, not only is she talented, she's beautiful too. I would love to meet her. I've seen her on tv and magazine interviews, and she seems very sweet and down to earth. Sarah, congratulations on your baby daughter. Good luck to your family and career. You'll be around for a long time.

Thu Mar 25 2004Sarah McLachlan's music is truly inspiring. Beautiful voice, talented lyricist and the songs themselves can send chills down your spine- they're so wonderfully done. She is truly one of a kind and is one of the best female musicians of our time.

Mon Feb 16 2004Obviously those who have given Ms. McLachlan a low rating have little taste in music.

Mon Nov 10 2003What a voice. What songs! I first noticed her when they used "Full of Grace" in the Buffy season 2 finale. I was floored. WHo was that? I usually prefer my pop/rock louder and faster, but she gets me in the gut. A goddess

Thu Sep 18 2003Neither alternative, nor Indie. Shouldn't be on the list.

Fri Aug 29 2003Love her husband, not her.

Thu Aug 28 2003Can she possibly whine any worse? Yuck. I hope she never comes out with a new album. Bleah.

Mon May 12 2003A truely great singer and songwritter."Fumbling" in my book is up their with "Abbbey Road".Sarah is the a deep and thoughful songwritter who's words and music speak to all of us.Those who have followed pale in comparison to her.She is an original,a great artist. She can be put in the league with Lennon and Gabriel as a true poet and artist.

Wed Nov 27 2002I think Brintney & Christina should listen to this CD and take notes! It's absosutley beautiful and 100 rercent real. No double tracking or lip singing here! Her songs are also about meaningful things. The most meaningful thing those bubble gum skanks would ever write a song about is yucky fore head zits on picture day!Thats why I give Sarah McLachen's "Surfacing" 5 stars!

Fri Oct 12 2001Sarah McLachlan may be decent in the opinion of some. However, she doesn't even come close to many others.

Mon Jul 30 2001Her Broadway music was at least OK.
by athenasongbird
Tue Jul 17 2001She's an excellent performer with moving and almost etherial songs. Beautiful melodies and meaningful, poetic lyrics. I can't speak highly enough of this lady's music.

Wed Jun 27 2001Those that don't get Sarah's magic have been brainwashed for too long by the bubble gum programming of top 40 radio stations! Sarah takes the listener on a journey of emotion & reflection! She has the voice of an angel & the power of a goddess! It's so sad to see young girls today looking up to the bare bellied, anorexic, skanks of the bubblegum pop world! You are a reflection of who your role models are & i am truly blessed that Sarah is one of mine!

Sun May 27 2001I love that voice. Not to mention how great she is live.

Thu Feb 08 2001She has the voice of an angel. One of the best female songwriters today.

Tue Feb 06 2001Yea, Ms. Britney needs to take a look at this girl and learn a few good things. Sarah's got the voice and the songwriting talent. "Surfacing" is a great album. And "Angel" is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
by kyesbd0c
Tue Feb 06 2001she's one of those true and spiritual types who looks for the beauty in everything. i have to be in the right mood for her music, but i still think she's great

Sun Feb 04 2001"Building a Mystery" and "Fear" are awesome songs. I wish I had a voice like hers.

Fri Sep 29 2000Sarah is amazing. Her piano playing and then that voice...breathtaking. Those little bubble-gum-pop- bimbos need to put on her CDs and take notes.
by alicat
Tue Sep 19 2000She has a really pretty voice. Some of her songs are good like, Ice Cream, and Say Goodbye but she gets old very fast. I wish she would try to do some other types of songs because a lot of her songs sound the same.

Wed Aug 02 2000**YAWN** the little $#!+ i hate her.

Sun Jun 18 2000She turns out some nice girl music, but does not belong in the top twenty. Case in point: according to the RateItAll filters, Women rank Sarah McLachlen the eighth best Rock / Pop Musician, while Men rank her a more sensible 86th.
by spiralingmarce
Fri Jun 02 2000She's not the best ever, but her music is real. It's not stolen lyrics or feelings.
