Sapphire Radeon HD3650 Graphics Card

I purchased this video card on 03.Aug.09 and it began to fail on 15.Sep.09. I was given the run around by the manufacturer's customer 'no-service' only to finally be informed that they would not cover the warranty as the item was not sold directly through their website. While ATI and Radeon products have always been solid in the past, I will never suggest that anyone purchase anything with a Sapphire label.

This really is a great card for the cost. I did some research, and $50 for a video card with 120 stream processors is pretty good. I am currently using Windows Vista 32 Bit. Previously, my windows rating was a 4.3 due to my old video card. I installed this video card, rebooted my computer, uninstalled my old video driver and went online to get the latest driver/video card software for this card (didn't bother using the included disc). After the install was complete, I updated my windows rating and it increased to 4.8. I opened the Catalyst Control Center software that installed with the driver and went to the ATI overdrive feature. I ran the auto tune feature. After rebooting my computer I ran the windows rating again where it was pushed to a 5.0 I ran a video stress test with Counter Strike Source and got 88 fps at 1920x1200 through a 24" Dell Ultrasharp monitor. I have an HP Pavilion a1767c running Windows XP Pro and this card regularly crashes. There seems to be a problem with the Catalyst feature. It is very irritating to be in the middle of a game and have the error message pop up telling me there is a problem with the display refresh or whatever. No wonder it is at such a low price. I googled the card and discovered - too late - that I am not the only one experiencing difficulties with this graphics adapter. I like ATI and have had several, both now and in the past, so I will probably replace this one after some research with a better one. I would not recommend this product.

This is a very good card, No jerkiness at all when fast scrolling or gaming. I was reluctant to buy anything but a nvidia based card, which I have used for many years, but this one is well built and very sturdy. It booted up with the supplied driver, works great on Vista and Windows 7 os, I reccomend it for everyone. I bought it because I have 2 monitors and I wanted to connect both with DVI cables. Markey

I just bought a new ultra-fast quad core system that came with a Radeon 3450 card. I did some research on that card and the general consensus was "not recommended for gaming." I was planning on playing CoD 5 right out of the box, so I knew an immediate upgrade was in store. So I purchased a Sapphire Radeon HD3650 512MB card through Amazon as the upgrade. I got it quicker than expected ... thanks Amazon. This card came with little instruction, but I was able to install it on my own. Well, it seemed just fine with CoD 5 at the start. But after about 12 minutes, it froze. I waited and it unfroze and I continued playing for another 6 minutes and it froze again. This repeated several more times until it would not unfreeze and I had to hard boot. I've used the card over several days always with the same result.
