Santa Monica Pier

Better piers exisit...

Wow. This place is alive with action at night with all of the fun amusement rides lit up for your enjoyment.

I've never been there, but I've heard it's kinda high in crime there. Whites shouldn't ever go there alone.

This pier is pretty cool but I like the one in redondo beach better .

Crowded, noisy, expensive and with more than a hint of danger. The waters of the Pacific were ice cold.

Boring. Lots of street vendors, crappy rides and tourists. They do have Hot-Dog-On-A-Stick-which rocks. Go to Malibu or Venice.

i live here (not ON the pier, but you know...), and i don't see what all the fuss is about. it's a rather boring second-rate amusement park, filled with crowds of annoying children and their equally annoying parents. it's best to go at night, if you go at all, because you avoid some of the touristy crowds. the only redeeming quality i can think of for the pier is that the arcades have old fashioned photo booths in them.

BELIEVE ME, THIS IS A VERY FUN PLACE! BESIDES, THREES COMPANY WAS FILMED ON THIS PIER!

Nothing much to see. Just skip it and go to the 3rd St. Promenade instead. There are more things you can do there.
