Samoas (Caramel de Lites)

Major sensory overload...I know I can't eat just one!

These are good alone, but a bit too sweet because of the coconut. Instead, make a bowl of ice cream and crunch up this cookie into it. You'll need once cookie per 1/2 cup. The cookie gets frozen a bit so let the ice cream get soft before you feast.

Samoas are without a doubt the top Girl Scout cookie. I will definitely reach for a Samoa before any of their other options...Great cookie.

Samoas not Caramel Lites are sold in my area & by my mom's troop(N.VA). Caramel lites are disgusting as I bought some while in NC. I didn't pay attention to the name difference until I got home and was wondering why they tasted so funny.Samoas however are the best ever are still made contrary to a previous post.

Oh, my! Just popping these into a microwave for a few seconds doubles the deliciousness! Heehee. Is 'deliciousness' a word? Well, it describes warm, melty Samoas perfectly!

Samoas taste better than the Caramel de Lites; I understand the names are different b/c the Girl Scout Council select which buyer to buy the cookies from (there are different Councils for different locations). One baker calls them Samoas and the other baker calls them Caramel de Lites. All in all, they're NOT as tasty as they used to be several years ago!!

I love them ~ but to be PC, they are no longer called Samoas.  This seems to be the third favorite of the bunch (at least in my area).  We had one guy yesterday, at the Cookie Booth, buy a whole case.

delicious, there used to be a cookie called yum yums sold in the supermarket that were an identical cookie but shaped different. does anybody remember them?

I thinks The Samoas are great, the because they are so sweet you can only have a few at at time then it is like you can't eat any more!

Close, but not quite. I rate average: Too sweet, too greasy, not enough butter or salt or chocolate. What a waste of coconut.

The names do indeed suck, but boy I like these cookies!

Samoas are my Favorite! But as an Ex Girl scout I would like to ask who the heck came up with the stupid new names for the Girl Scout Cookies? Was something wrong with the old names, am I alone on this opinion?

i love these cookies so much that i order them every year when they go up for sale. the samoas (in my opinion) are the best cookies that the girl scouts sell. i just hope that other people share my opinion about the samoas. scincerly, Nick Reece

My family and I always buy about 15 boxes of these, they go so fast. I wish they could be sold more than once a year!!

These used to be my favorite, but now they taste processed. You can tell they are a boxed cookie, almost a plastic flavor.

These are truly the best cookie ever made. Creamy chocolate, a coconut coating, a crunchy (but not too crispy) center, chewy caramel....what more could you want?

Too sweet and sticky

I am a member of Girl Scouts, and this is by FAR the best girl scout cookie, hands down. Every year, Samoas is my #1 pick, and it seems to be pretty popular around here too.

Samoas are the absolute best cookie ever. I wish some corporate brand would steal the recipe. That way I can have it year round, and it probably wouldn't 4.50 for a dinky box. a percentage of the Proceedes could go to the Girl Scouts.

These cookies are what I look forward to every year! They are my all time favorite! I could never buy girl scout cookies without buying atleast 10 boxes of these!

I would date myself if I said how much I sold Girl Scout cookies for when I was a kid. I still help out the Girl Scout by taken as many boxes of these off their hands as possible. I have even broken them up and used them as the bottom for ice cream cakes. Coconut, caramel and chocolate, delicious!

Ha! Screw you Thin Mints! LOL Sorry but these are the best, bar none. I have to be careful not to eat half the box in one sitting.

These are my least favorite Girlscout cookie. I prefer thin mints or do-si-do's.

oh its that wonderful time of year when i stuff myself silly with samoas. its the one thing i have no self control when it comes to them cookies or to the ice cream that comes out same time with flavors of girl scout cookies everybody has more chance of getting some if they bought their own and hid it.man rating all this food i either sound like a pig or very hungry.

in high school these always went down well with a gallon of milk and a 1/4 of pot.

A girl that I have know since she was born is in the girls scouts, and every year she calls me and asks if I want to order some Girl Scout Cookies. I always order two boxes of Samoas. They are my favorites.
