An important event for some, and I congratulate them on it. I really wish, however, that some among the saved wouldn't work quite so hard to get an extra ticket for me.

For the maximum mileage out of the life experience, save this one for the very end.

Salvation from what? Since there are lots of bad things to be saved from without needing to get religion involved, I'll give this a 5. I believe that the experience of grace is a universal one, rather than being specific to religious experience. Grace to me is best in its secular form: that feeling of acceptance from someone you respect, that confirmation of love from someone you've loved. Deep feelings of salvation needn't require a divinity. Attributing the feeling to a god unnecessarily complicates matters and often impedes self-understanding.

Coming to the realization, almost 30 years ago now, that Christ is very real, very much alive and is exactly who he said he was changed my entire perspective on existing in this world. I dont claim to be perfect and I admit that I make lots of mistakes. I fully expect to continue to make mistakes and learn as I move through this life on earth that I have come to think of as a kind of training period. The important thing is that, when I get all chewed up and spit out by the world I know which direction to turn and I know hes there waiting for me. With Christ, there is a sense of love and acceptance that you simply do not and cannot get in any other way or through any other source in this world. It is different because it is constant and all encompassing. It will not fade and it will not leave you because it is eternal. When youre young and you havent experienced a great loss in your life yet its easy to put this idea on the back burner or completely ignore it. Its easy to become d... Read more

Perhaps the only thing on this list that competes with having a child.

Definitely the capstone experience of my entire life. It was awesome - a Monday night in July, South Bend, Indiana - I was only 14 years old. There was a peace and joy that can't be described. The stars even seemed to be shining more brightly that night. Nothing has ever been the same since then.

Update Ralph, Ralph, Ralph I don't blaspheme God as I believe Jesus is God (God the Son) You reject Jesus, thus you do not believe in Salvation. If you don't believe in Jesus, why is it so important to you to make fun of us that do believe? Do you believe in any God? If you do how would you like it if I mocked your belief????? .............Ralph, your comments about God, Jesus and salvation really turn my stomach. You blaspheme God and what many believe very strongly in and you don't even care. This is what is truely sad about you. Your talk about what is pure and holy is pure filth. There is no greater event than salvation!!!! I'm sorry you choose not to experience it.

This may not be too important to some people, but for me, when Jesus came into my heart -- that was the best thing that ever happened to me!
