I had a wonderful experience at my first visit to Salon Laurie. Everyone working there is friendly and you get warm greetings from the minute you walk in. The owner Laurie, even came over to introduce herself since it was my first time there which I appreciated. They offer you drinks, cookies, etc. while you are waiting and try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The salon itself is quite small and cluttered but has a nice cute and cozy feel to it. I had Moira as my stylist and she did a wonderful job. She gave me the cut and color I've been trying to get from other stylist (just hadn't ever achieved)! I even received a little 1st timers kit which included samples of makeup, lotions, and hair products plus a coupon for a free manicure at my next visit! I would have to say Salon Laurie went above and beyond and I will now be recommending them to all of my friends and family

I followed my long time stylist, Vanessa, to Salon Laurie this past Spring and have really enjoyed the salon. Vanessa always does a fabulous job on my hair --her cuts and hi-lights are fantastic! I've been a fan of Vanessa's talents and friendly personality for a several years and was hoping her new salon wouldn't disappoint. It doesn't. I appreciate the reminder emails they send out before your appointment and have really enjoyed meeting some of the other great people working at Salon Laurie. Dee brought me a delicious coffee and gives a wonderful head massage at the sinks, too! The esthetician Rachel is so warm and very professional. I'm very much looking forward to trying some of the many other services offered -- I sense a massage & facial in my future!

I've been to many salons and many stylists and am very picky about my hair...I have Asian hair. Salon Laurie has been the best recommendation I have received from a friend. It's a comfortable salon that has nice, upbeat people with great customer service. When I walk in, I feel relaxed and ready to get beautiful. I chose a Junior Stylist, Moira, who is knowledgeable, customer service oriented and friendly. When I sit in her chair, she listens to what I am looking for and consults me in my desires for new styles or color. I leave happy every time. After my first appointment, I received so many compliments that everyone asked me where I was getting my hair done. Salon Laurie, of course. I have repeatedly had the same great experience, loving my hair and all the compliments, too!

Salon Laurie was recommended to me by 2 colleagues with fabulous hair so I was eager to book an appointment, and Salon Laurie did not disappoint. The stylists are incredibly talented, and the entire staff is very warm and friendly. To top it all off, I have always loved my haircuts. I even convinced my husband to go, and he loves it too. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a great salon experience.

I moved to Baltimore years ago and searched for many years for a salon where they could do my color the way I was used to. By a stroke of luck, a colleague at work pointed me in the right diretion. I have been a loyal patron of Salon Laurie ever since. The atmosphere is wonderful, very relaxing and friendly. I see many of the same faces over and over again and have a small group of 'salon friends' who I look forward to chatting with each visit. My monthly pampering begins with a fabulous shampoo that feels like a head massage; then on to the styling chair where I am given a piping hot cup of my favorite tea. My sytylist is terriffic and takes great lengths to give me a beautiful color, cut and style every time. Some family members as well as some friends and neighbors go to Salon Laurie because they have seen my great color and cut and ask, "who does YOUR hair"? I treat myself from time to time with lash tints, facials, massages, manicures & pedicures. I have neved been dis... Read more

So really, how far would you go to get your hair cut? I travel about 450 miles. Four years ago I moved from Baltimore to Boston. Because I still have friends and family in the area I return regularly and I always plan a visit to Salon Laurie and Co. While I am sure there are great places to get my hair cut here in Boston, the truth is that I've never had a bad experience in Laurie's gem of a salon. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional and caring. When it comes to hair, they really know their stuff. I've had cuts by two different people over the years and now see Ashley on a regular basis. She's great at understanding exactly what I want out of each hair cut. She listens to what I am saying about my hair. She is never rushed, inattentive, or rude. This goes for the entire salon staff--the atmosphere at Salon Laurie and Co. is warm and inviting and always feels like I am being welcomed home. If you're still unsure about getting your hair cut here, let me just reiterate my ... Read more

I have thick, bushy hair that has been my arch nemesis since my teen years. When I moved to Baltimore 7 years ago, I tried several salons and was gravely disappointed. One salon was the kind every woman with any kind of self-doubt or insecurity fears: snotty and cruel. Finally, a friend insisted I try Salon Laurie. She, herself, was a long time devotee. I was hooked. I left feeling beautiful and more confident in my hair than I have EVER felt. Everyone at Salon Laurie is professional and greets me by name; they care about their clients! I have recommended this salon to 10-15 friends who have all become regulars. We can't say enough good things about it!

Moira = fantastic. I started going to salon laurie about a year ago after I got some recommendations from friends. The staff are all friendly and considerate - everyone stops to say hello. I have never had a complaint about the place - and everyone I've referred to go there has enjoyed the salon. It has a great atmosphere - relaxing and not overly girly or product laden. I'm pretty low maintenance with my hair - and Moira works with that, giving me a great cut that I don't have to put a lot of effort into. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Baltimore for a haircut.

If someone has told you about Salon Laurie & Co, consider yourself in...and hooked. I gave them what I knew of my hair, and they have done the rest, time and time again, spanning sometimes two months in between. For a Sicilian-haired guy, such as myself, to walk out feeling satisfied with my curls is a phenomenal experience. And guys, while the iced tea offerings have never failed, this salon is not just for the ladies. Get your hair done and actually have enough left in the wallet for Whole Foods around the corner--now that's something to write home about.

You can't ask for a better salon or a more talented, customer-oriented group of stylists. I went there for the first time several years ago and discovered Suzanne, a senior stylist who took the time to really listen and figure out what style worked best for me. I'm fiercely loyal now and have recommended several friends and family members, all of whom are now very satisfied customers. Laurie and co. are awesome, their collective talents unmatched, and their selection of haircare products and gifts (jewelry! handbags!) fantastic.

I would (and have) highly recommend this salon. Everyone I?ve sent there has been very happy and gone back repeatedly. The atmosphere is very friendly and nice without being too uber-chic or fussy. As far as price goes, they have various levels of stylists ranging from very reasonable to fairly pricey. If you (like me) don?t want to spend $80 on a cut, you can choose one of the junior stylists who are still very good. I?ve never gotten a cut there I was completely happy with!

in a town with a million hair salons, salon laurie is a real stand out. from the minute you walk in the door, you know that this place is different. no shabby old carpet here--but beautiful wood floors and stations with individually framed mirrors and hand wrought floral light fixtures. you are greeted at the desk and offered water with lemon, homemade iced tea, or hot tea or coffee. cookies and grapes are always on hand if you want a little snack. more than the ambiance, it's the quality of the staff that sets this place apart. there is no cattiness here--all the staff get along and enjoy working here. they are friendly and make this a peaceful, relaxing place to be. i get my hair cut and colored here--people often stop me on the street to ask me who does my color. they are real experts at color--they take it very, very seriously. for a treat, i'll get a facial (THE BEST!) or massage or mani/pedi. i always leave feeling beautiful and refreshed. i have recommended salon lau... Having moved around extensively, I finally call a salon "home". I have been a loyal client of Laurie for over twelve years commuting in from San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington DC. Laurie and her team consistently provided the highest level of service and quality in hair styling and coloring. People constantly stop and ask me where I get my hair done. The salon also includes a full service spa; you will float out of Salon Laurie after a European facial with Rachel, a massage with Crystal or a paraffin pedicure with Cathy. I have paid top dollar for these services around the world at the top spas and hotels. I would recommend Salon Laurie over all of them. The quality, personal attention and keeping up with the latest technologies make Salon Laurie?s the go to place in Baltimore. They even have an exclusive gift boutique to make shopping for birthdays and holidays convenient and one-of-a-kind.
