    In what was something of a reprise of day one of the trip, we left home again (after dealing with a minor crisis) in the early morning, and blew down I-5 towards Salem. We made the obligatory stop in Seattle for a burger from Dick's Drive in on 45th. It was a few minutes before opening when we got there, so we killed a few minutes in a nearby used CD and vinyl store called Golden Oldies. Golden Oldies is a dump, but it's a good dump, and more appealing to me than the forced hipster vibe of a lot of used music and vinyl stores in Seattle. The selection of CDs is good, with a lot of obscure stuff, and the vinyl selection is better (but since I don't collect vinyl that's of purely academic interest to me.) I bought a couple of items, then we fueled up at Dick's and headed south. We stopped again in Portland so I could hit the Pearl Specialty Market and buy a selection of bourbons and beers not available in Canada.
