Running red stop lights.

I will run them after stopping if no one is around or ill get my noise in the intersection and take the left on red if traffic is heavy. We have a few traffic circles now around town so that is convenient so you don't have to stop. Twice it has happened to me at a light where the green never came and 15 of us had to run the light, it was a double left lane only light. I have seen people run lights going way to fast without regard and have some some bad accidents however, when there aren't people around and the visibility is good I does not bother me one bit.
I think everyone has done this at least once but it is a cause of many accidents. We as drivers have to be alert. Its not worth the risk.
I have never done this on purpose but I have on occasion ran a red light by accident. I did this a few months ago. For some reason, I just ran the light without realizing what I was doing. usually I'm very careful. Besides most of the intersections now have cameras and I really don't feel like paying a $300.00 fine.
A major cause of a lot of big accidents. Many times this happens because drivers are distracted and in a hurry.
Since they set up cameras, the camera company shortens the yellow lights to raise the revenue. It gets to be less than 4 seconds or less and you can't stop safely.
Don't these people know how to drive? Didn't they learn, at some point in time, that running stop lights or stop signs is against the law? How many people have to die for these people to learn to stop?
if you're doing it on purpose you must have a death wish but i think most run them on accident
No one can deny how dangerous this can be. This is part of the reason cameras are installed on most traffic lights now. To many accidents are caused when people decide that "patience is for losers". It's not only YOUR life that you have to worry about; doing this puts other people in danger right along with yourself. Just wish more people would think about others when they're driving.
I hate when people do this dudes. Everyone thinks they're Nascar drivers on the road right dudes?
very dangerous. I live in the city and see this on a daily basis. In the city if the light turns green to me, I always wait a few seconds to see if the traffic the other way will stop. sometimes those as*****s.make it obvious there is no way they are stopping. they go trough a flat out red light as if they have every right to. and as usual, they get away with it since there are not police around. it seems like the deaths by car accidents are on the rise. I see it announced so often in our papers obituaries,"died in a car accident" makes it frightening to go on the road.
This is really stupid now that we have all these red light cameras. Smile!
I almost got rolled over by a jerk when he ran a light and crashed into this other bonehead who was on his cellphone while making a right turn across my bike's nose. The two of them skidded to a halt less then two feet from me, then had the gall to get out of their cars and beg me to be on their side when the copps showed up. I gave my best impression of Stone Cold Steve Austin to these two right before the cop who caught the whole thing on dashcam from the gas station caddy corner from this incident rolled up and told them to get back in their car and stop harrassing the witness. Needless to say, the cop only needed my identification for a sec, just in case either driver tried to argue against the footage. Served them both right for not following the rules.
This is beyond a bad habit and actually a criminal one. Its one thing to make this potentially deadly mistake once in a while, and quite another to do it habititually.
