Run-DMC (Run-DMC)

This was the first hip hop that I ever heard, and it was perfect. I still listen to this album today. In high school in the late 80's, I plagiarized a verse from "It's Like That" for a poetry class and got an A. Rock Box was hip hop with a rock guitar, and I still know all the words to Hollis Crew and Sucker MCs. This album invented a genre, and deserves its place among the most influential music of the past century.
