I would have said Round Table was great but it is not consistent. There are two franchise holders in town one it great the other terrible. They are also on the expensive side. Update one of the local franchise holder gave up the franchise but I have noticed that the crust is not as good as it used to be. Also I have heard the reason for the change is they are now using pre-made frozen crust. UPDATE I have tried a lot of different piazza and I can't find any thing that matches the taste or quality of Roundtable. It is more expensive but for me they make the best pie. I know they were having financial troubles, who isn't, but the food is still good.

The Gourmet Veggie is one of the best pizzas Round Table makes. We get it all the time. We get delivery service here in San Francisco and we dont wait very long. I don't have any complaints about Round Table.

This is the worst pizza I have ever tasted. Its doughy , has absolutely no taste, and I felt sick to my stomach after eating it.. Basically the pizza is dough, tomato paste, yuck, and cheese..No olive oil, garlic, oregano, And for this you get to spend 30 bucks.. As an Italian , I am insulted that they call a pizza like this, Italiano.. You guys rot...

I don't normally complain about much, but I think I'm quite possibly eating the worst pizza I've ever tasted. I'm wishing now that I had just gone to the grocery store and spent $2.50 for a frozen Tony's pizza because, and I'm not kidding, they taste way better than this crap I'm eating now. I spent $23 for a small and a medium pizza. The chicken tastes like the chicken inside McDonald's nuggets, with that gristle, and the green onions were obviously thrown on the pizza after it was cooked. Just EWW. I'll not be returning to Round Table Pizza....ever!

This place is a joke. $32.54 for a large pizza and a small generic a al carte salad - give me a break! I thought I was misunderstanding the thick accent on the gentleman who was ringing me up. I thought $15 was expensive for a pizza, but $30?! It is absolutely ridiculous. It's not even very good pizza. I thought it was decidedly average and not very big. It is about the size you would expect a medium pizza to be. The salad bar was sparsely supplied and difficult to reach the ingredients due to a giant glass germ shield that makes is nearly impossible for anybody with normal length arms to reach the vats in the back. I am 6'1" and had to basically have my cheek plastered against the glas to reach the ingredients in the back of the buffet. Then they do not have containers for take out salad dressings. All in all a terrible first experience which will be my last. In fact it was so bad and I was so infuriated by the price that I was compelled to find a way to let the world know how bad it ... Round table used to be something worth the wait or drive. Now it is horrible. If you are starving and don't have time to cook, i guess this will suffice. Nah, just go to Popeye's. We waited for almost an hour, and then the pizza was slopped all on the crust, terrible texture and flavor. I don't know what has happened to the round table i used to know and love.

I used to get round table a lot...it was a good pizza. But not anymore. They have obviously instructed thier franchises to cut back on costs and here's what it means to you: Way, WAY more dough in the pizza and "pushing it out" further...by this I mean there is more crust and WAY less cheese, sauce, and toppings on their pizzas. Don't pay the premium price for round table anymore; the've cut standards and it isn't worth it AT ALL.

Great Pizza, just love it although there prices are high there kind and efficient. They checked on us while we were eating to see if we needed anything and when we were done the brought us a box right to our table. I have only have had the paned crust but every time I go I get good pizza. I saw one they mad a mistake one some one's pizza and they gave them another one with no question and free of charge. I love to go to the buffet and eat all you can eat twists and pizza and salad bar for only 7.83 not including the drink including a drink it was like 9 dollars. so if the pizzas themselves are too much you can have a buffet on the week days and stuff the hell out of yourself with pizzas and salad. One of my friends work there and once I got to see them roll the dough. So when I read the review about the pre-made pizza crust at round table it didn't make add up, and the one about the driver passing the person jumping up and down waving there hands like a loony made me laugh. I bet the... Read more

The pizza is pretty decent tasting, but in my honest opinion, it's not all that great for the exorbitant price they charge. I sometimes think they see a person coming.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't figure out why pizza has to be so complicated with Round Table. We have at least 3 within a 7 mile radius of our home in Auburn, CA. I get coupons for the one that's furthest away (of course) in our weekly paper. I tried using these coupons at the RT that is closest to us but noooooo. "We don't have their coupons in our system. It's different franchise." I've asked repeatedly, over the course of the last 18 months we've lived here, why we don't get coupons for the RT that is nearest our home. No one, including any manager, can give me an answer. No one. No. One. So finally, I go into the RT near my home to pick up an order and mention AGAIN that I would like to get coupons for THAT franchise and is there anyone who can help me, blah, blah, blah. Nope...again. But before I go, the girl behind the counter gives me a coupon flyer that I can use the next time. Three weeks later, I called them up and tried using one of the coupons from the flyer. Guess what. ... Read more

In my area Round Table doesn't deliver. It's just a sit-down restraunt. They have decent prices. The pizza isn't the best I've ever had, but it's not the worst. They always serve me fast and the pizza is always hot and fully cooked. I like the ambience of the restraunt, too. The seating isn't too crowded or too spaced out, they have decent arcade games, and you can watch them prepare your pizzas in part of the kitchen that has a big window in it.

Round Table Pizza- Honestly the Last Worst Pizza Where to begin? It took an hour and 50 minutes to get my order delivered. They got my address wrong so they showed up extra late. So of course my pizza was not hot, my sandwich was not warm and the salad was warm as well, personally I enjoy cold lettuce, but maybe they're onto something? They delivered me the wrong style pizza as well and and a size smaller then I had ordered. And here is the best part, as I stood on my drive- way they drove right past me no more than five feet from me as I wave my arms and yell "Hey". After that point it was ten more minutes until they actually found my house. On a positive note the pizza has not yet made me sick like Domino's filth pizzas. And by the way the pizza was still undercooked, way to doughy for me. This food is unfit even for rat consumption.

Horrible pizza..not cooked properly...extremely rude people.Charge you exhorbetently and its not worth at all. There are all chances that they'll fool you.Eg-I wanted Garlic bread. The guy there asked me how many.Me and hubby asked for 4 i.e 2 each. That person there sent me 16 (4 packs wher there are 4 breads in one pack). I would never ever order from there again and would recommend the same for who ever values money and believe in paying money for wat is worth.

Round table pizza - Willow pass road, concord, CA This is what i wrote to their management. The pizza was not cooked properly. And when we called the manager to report that pizza was partially cooked his response was RUDE to say the least. 1. Manager did not accept the fact that Pizza was not cooked well . The manager started explained the pizza making process to us. ie. he put the pizza twice in the oven and if he puts it 3 times then it will burn. Do we as a customer need to know how a pizza is cooked. I dont care if you have to put it 10 time. Bake it well. Its your job, Right ? Or am I supposed to order a pizza and tell him how may time i like the pizza to be baked. I didnt know we had to order pizza like STEAK - rare, medium rare, medium or well done !!! FYI. Pizza is supposed to be well done always. I didnt know if you serve the pizza medium cooked. 2. we were asked to return the WHOLE pizza back to the store : Mananger asked us to return the WHOLE pizza back. we expla... Read more

A horrible, horrible experience. Got my pizza only after 1.5 hours after long argues with them over the phone. Did not get any discount or other compensation. I live in Palo Alto 2 blocks away from Round Table Pizza. Somehow I made the mistake of calling them. Initially they told me it would take 45 minutes. After an hour I called them and they told me the driver is going to deliver the pizza in 5 minutes. When I asked to talk to the manager the call was misteriously disconnected, and consequent calls I made from the same number were unanswered. Only after calling them from another number they picked up. The manager said he couldn't care less about getting bad reviews from me. He also offered no compensation. This is clearly the worst contact I've ever had with any pizzeria. Please help me by not buying anything from them.

What a Disappointment!!! I grew up in the Bay Area and even though I am Italian and have a special place for East Coast Pizza.....I always liked the RT pizza I ate as long as 30 years ago. RT used to be the "Last Honest Pizza" it's too bad that RT has lost sight of what helped them grow. Great product with fair prices was what made RT a fixture....today the quality is PATHETIC.....portion control is out of control and I can only say that today's RT is the "Last DIS-Honest Pizza"!!! I paid $22 for a Large pizza yesterday here in San Clemente and the quality and amount of ingredients used was not only bad.....but quite honestly I felt "RIPPED OFF"!!! 30 years of good memories down the drain....too bad because the local RT is walking distance from my home but you will NEVER see me there again!!!

I've been a Round Table fan for at least 20 years. It used to be that you could get a fantastic pizza every time! But over the last few years I've noticed that they've been adding way more sauce, and less cheese. I started ordering extra cheese to combat the extra sauce, but they apparently took that to mean more sauce! I've complained to managers about this many times, and most tell me that they've been making their pizza the same way for as long as I've been going there, and that they've never changed the amount of sauce they add. Yeah, right. Not wanting to give up my favorite pizza quite yet, I began asking for light sauce. Believe it or not, I got a pizza with no sauce! Gross. What kind of morons so they have running and working at this restaurant? I've talked to many managers, and have been made to feel like I'm the one with the problem. And come to think of it, that's quite true-- my problem is, I can't stand Round Table any longer, and will never go back.

I rarely go to Round Table, mostly because their prices are to high for me.   If I want something that expensive, I might as well go out for a steak dinner.

I have been on both sides of the counter, I know how upsetting customers can be but sometime it is everything we can do to recover from a bad night, I should not be judged so quickly I can tell when a manager is trying and I can tell when one is not , can you I only hope that you will be understanding when the time is right ........

Have not really ever had a bad pizza from Round Table although the quality does tend to vary from restaurant to restaurant. It is one of the better pizzas as far as chains go.

My problem with Round Table is that they don't listen to what you want. I asked for artichoke hearts and they gave us anchovies. Yeah those are real similar, ones a fish and ones a vegetable. One time I ordered a pizza and they put the wrong ingredients on it again (imagine that) when we got there, about 5 people had their bare hands in our pizza picking off the ingredients that shouldn't be on there. Boy was that appetizing. All I can really say about Round table is that for the price you pay and the lousy service there are far better pizza chains out there. I know I wont be back.

I have worked there recently and can say that there are no onions in the sauce nor did they use frozen crust, the crust is mixed and rolled fresh every day. the sauce is basically tomato paste and spices. personally, i like their white sauce better anyways, its like a garlic-infused ranch sauce. also, their prices are high but, i think the quality is also high so it makes sense. they do have a large variety of toppings including two types of pepperoni, regular and primo. there are also two types of mushrooms, regular and portobello. its better than papa johns because their pan and skinny crust is only available in large, at round table, you can get pan and skinny crust in any size. round table also has interesting specialty pizzas like the gourmet vegatarian and smokehouse combo which has barbecue sauce and four different kinds of sausages on it. if you live on the west coast and haven't tried it yet then i highly recommend it, i suggest trying one with the lunch buffet. its a good way... This is a west coast chain. I lived in CAL from 1988-1990 (Monterey) and San Leandro (1990 - 1992). In my years there, I honestly can't remember getting a slice of pizza that was even one-eigth as good as the East Coast. Round Table, along with Shakey's, Mountain Mikes, etc., was a typical west coast place where you could be assured you were going to get very bad pizza. RT was particularly reprehensible in that whether you ordered an onion pizza or not, Round Table's sauce was chock full of chunky hunks of onion. That sucks, just like their pizza. I am happy to say that I eventually found a good Pizza Joint in California -- a family pizza place in San Diego that served real good Philly Pizza (even though the dude I was with was freaking out when old Papa Geppetto Pizza Dude would blow on the pizza stone before laying the dough on it).

Worked at ROund Table back in the late 1970s. Excellent quality ingredients used and I never saw a single employee spit on the pizza; either before or after baking it. RT was my favorite pizza back then, irregardless of my working there. It tasted the way I felt a pizza should taste. Too bad the manager was such a twit. It was great how one of the employees cracked the code to the safe and kept hiding the important documents!!! Ahem..... it WAS good pizza but I don't know if the quality and taste is still there since I moved to a state where RT doesn't have any outlets. Maybe I should see if they would mail me a pizza.

Their pizza is pretty good. It definitely beats Pizza Hut and Dominos. It is about on par with Papa Johns. The cheese is pretty good, but the rest of the toppings and crust are so-so. Also, the service tends to be pretty crappy, no matter where you go.

Very unique taste from the use of other kinds of cheese(s) in addition to mozzerella. Solid thicker crust and good sauce. It's really very good pizza but something about it's unique taste with those other cheeses makes me not want it very often (which is good cuz there isn't one nearby).
