Service is poor, food is average but with too much trans fat everywhere, best part was the music but the dance floor is tiny and the bouncers don't do a good job making sure there's a balance of males/females..oh and did I mention that food and drinks are overpriced??

Had b-day party and spent well over $1000 on friday night, made reservations 3 weeks in advance and had bottle service at table. The owner Mina Shamsaei son showed up and tried to take over area and had his friends disrupt our party. This was very unprofessional and tacky. He commented on, he wanted to make money that night and have his friends enjoy drinks on the house. If this is the way Mina has raised her son and approves of his cockyness than it is very disappointing on both ends. At the same time, the waitress had come over and removed all of our drinks. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST.

Just another fake bar trying to fit into a high class area. Neither the drinks or the girls are worth it.

We went there after a long day @ work (November 5th 8pm). We enjoyed the pub ambiance, friendly bartenders, & great food. I had mouth watering filet, my friends ordered burger, and fish & chips. our server told us all the meats are Organic. My friends loved their beer selection as well. This was my 4th visit. Never bad experience. Now that Obama is our new president for change, and economy is hurting most everybody, we all should have more honest reviews, as opposed to bashing a good business. Good job Rosie 5 star

I went there several times, I even stopped by on 21st birthday. Yet when my friends came over to visit, I was not allowed because when I showed the bouncer my ID he told me it was fake. I told him that it is a real ID and it was issued by the DMV and he can call the cops since if it is fake then I'm breaking the laws. The bouncer was extremely rude and told me to find cops so they could check my ID, prove that it was real and then he'll let me in. I thought it was ridicilous and it was a half an hour before closing, I mean how can you talk to people like that? But that is how their staff is trained. The next day I called the manager and told him how I was treated, and how they might want to hire more professional or at least intelligent bouncers (maybe train them), or better yet get a scanning machine that would do that work you. Needless to say I think that idiot still works there. Crowd: Fairly old (30's to 40's) I never saw many people in their 20's. Music: It's never new, when I... Read more

I was down in San Jose for work and went to Rosie's with some colleagues after our conference... I live in San Francisco so I'm used to great restaurants and great food and I must admit I was not expecting much from an Irish pub ~ but the food was AMAZING. The bacon wrapped stuffed prawns and the Irish nachos were delicious. I got the Kobe Beef burger and ceasar, which were great too. We ended up getting three desserts because each one good that more people at our table decided they wanted some so we had to keep ordering (the bread pudding is the best thing ever). They had fun drinks (like pomogranite mojitos) and a DJ started around 9. The place was packed and really fun - even though it was a thursday nite. We all had a really good time.

I am an extreme business traveler that eats daily at restaurants throughout the United States and the World. When I get a rare chance to eat in my home city of San Jose I expect that I deserve a great dining experience for such a great city. But, my dinner with my wife at Rosie McCann?s was absolutely abysmal. I have never met a more unprofessional and robot-like wait staff. At least they should have quickly got our drinks to help numb the horrible service; but that didn?t even happen. During our long wait to take our order, one of the waiters spilled a tray of drinks (no problem, it happens), luckily on the floor, and not on their customers. The cooks in the kitchen began laughing and taunting the waiter in front of customers. I would expect this from a staff of high-school kids running a fast-food restaurant. Our waitress continually apologized for the horrible service (slow, forgetful, automaton), but never made an attempt to make any heart felt effort to make any part of this gloom... Read more

This is a great place to dance when they clear the tables out after 9 to 9:30. The crowd is younger than most of Santana Row but there is a good mix of different ages. You will see some of the same crowd from Straights here. The service does tend to be lame. If you are looking for a meal there are a lot of better options on Santana Row - or if you are looking for Irish food try the Irish bar in Campbell.

My friend and I planned on dining here and the manager who was seating us was sooooo rude and mean!! We were sooo shocked that such a manager can be so cruel and mean to customers. We didn't do anything wrong but just requested a table inside. Instead she said she doesn't have to serve us and she won't -- and kicked us out. Total discrimination!!!!! Please don't support this restaurant. I called one of the owners and didn't do anything more but say sorry. I am telling all my friends to stay away from this place as there are soo many more nice restaurants in Santana Row that treats customers the way they should be treated.

Two words: Bad Management. A very unhospitable management that is unwilling to make things right. We had a group of five people dining and received very poor service from a waitress who was inexperienced and often times rude. We also were told that we would have to leave before our dinner was over to make way for the dance floor. To top it off we received the bill with the gratuity added on. After speaking with the Owner about all of the problems we had, nothing was done and no suggestions by the owner were made to accomodate the situation. I would not suggest this restaurant because there are many better options on Santana Row. The food was o.k. but it definitely did not outweigh the negatives of the experience. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT RUDE MANAGEMENT WITH YOUR DOLLARS!

Irish pub strives for more than the average Guinness-slinging watering hole, featuring steak and seafood dinners and Top 40 dancing.

This place has the best margaritas ever. Even, the virgin options are too cool.. I think it has been consitently rated as the best margarita...

I went with a group for dinner and the food was really good - definitely not traditional pub food. We stayed for drinks and there was a great DJ and dancing. Fun crowd, great music. There was also a large outside patio that was nice.

I go to rosie's all the time. I love their fish and chips, calamari, and especially bread pudding dessert. Also try the cocktails, I love the pomegranate mojito. Weekends are great, I go with friends and stay for dancing. Great place for casual yet fun dining.

I don't know where to begin, as this was such a terrible experience. We went with a group of five people. When the waitress arrived to take our drink order she rattled off all the beers they didn't have. One person ordered beer and the rest were to share a bottle of wine. The beer arrived in about 5 minutes. The wine (once we finally chose one they had) came about 20 minutes later. When the check finally came it was incorrect and then our cards were charged incorrectly. Each of us had fish and chips (which were only mediocre) and we were there for 2 hours! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Rosie McCanns Irish Pub and Restaurant is the most inhospitable pub, I have ever experienced. The staff was rude, obnoxious and unreasonable. Simply, Rosie McCanns is badly managed. I personally think the place gives the Irish a bad name and I will never suggest the pub to anyone. Most of all, it destroys Santana Row's reputation for sophisticated drinking and dining. In response to this complaint, I have also notified, Santana Federal Realty, The Wave Magazine, San Jose Magazine and The San Jose Mercury News.

I've been here a couple of times and each experience was great. I've tried Bangers and Mash; Corned Beef and Cabbage; and Fish and Chips. All the dishes are delicious, but Bangers and Mash is my favorite. The servers are extremely helpful and friendly. I would like to visit the Santa Cruz location.
