The stadium is too big and impersonal. Just because you can seat 90,000+ doesn't mean you should.

The Rose Bowl is easily the greatest stadium in college football. Nothing beats a UCLA game on Saturday.

Like Lambeau Field, what all football arenas ought to be.To think that there have been stadiums built over the last 20 years, that have two and three decks ,still seat only 65 - 80,000,and the seats are still a hell of a lot farther away than most of the seats at the Rose Bowl. The place still seats over 90,000 and you're still closer to the action, not half a mile away from it!Proof that one deck is all you need!

Parking is terrible. Ill go as far as saying it's worse than the LA coliseum in regards to parking. Endzone bench seating sucks too. Give me almost 100% seat back seating like in the Coliseum.

The setting is wonderful, the views from the top of the stadium are spectacular.......then, the game starts and you quickly realize that you are watching a football game in an environment that possesses all the passion, intensity and deafening noise of an amateur golf tournament in Iceland. The band sounds good...it would be better if they played all game long. UCLA fans, similar to USC fans, are true to their Southern California environs: Laid back. If the Bruins are winning, hey, good deal dude. If they're losing, oh well; let's hang out in Westwood and go see a movie. Honestly, I watched a UCLA track meet at Drake Stadium that had a more raucous crowd than the Bruins/Stanford game I attended a few years back. In the Pac 10, the only stadiums/crowds that begin to compare with places like Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge or Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville -- hostile, deafening, intimidating environments -- are Autzen Stadium and Husky Stadium.

The Rose Bowl!!?? Are you kidding me? That place is a joke compared to other stadiums I have been to. If you want to see a college football atmosphere, don't go to the Rose Bowl (I know USC is unstoppable), go to somewhere like the Swamp in Gainesville, Notre Dame stadium, or Neyland Stadium. Those places have passion!! No offense to USC, but the Rose Bowl needs to go. (Despite what Keith Jackson says)

Without a doubt, one of college football's most awesome places. Full of history and tradition but not crumbling: sound system, press box, scoreboards etc. all look new. The view from the top rows - of the huge seating bowl and the mountains - is like something out of a postcard. Only drawback is the empty seats (less than half full for Cal vs. UCLA in 2003) but on the bright side that just means you can move around, which you may need to do to avoid the heat if you show up here in September or October.

Empty when a bowl game isn't being played there.

When was the last time UCLA had a sellout? No sellouts = No atmosphere.

History of stadium is great. Exterior architecture is nice, with good access. Good sight lines from every seat. Tunnels are way too narrow and hamper overall experience. Deductions for off-campus UCLA site.

Going to the Rose Bowl game is fun. Going to the Rose Bowl Stadium is not.

Off-campus and over half empty for most games...not a good combination.

Run down AND empty, there's a winning combination!

Great piece of classic college football history, only bad thing I can say is that the tunnels are too small.
