I believe the tagline in one of thier commercials was "tastes awful, but it works" Yup, truer words were never spoken. Unfortunately, this stuff tastes SO BAD I'd almost rather be up all night coughing. I believe they make this in capsule form now. I would like to see how it compares to the liquid.

Robitussin DM is my old standby for coughs. I will not use anything else (except maybe the store brand equivalent).

Robitussin used to work for me when I was a child, but I guess I just used it too much because it doesn't work so great now. It has always tasted bad, and I guess depending on how long you've used it and which symptoms you have it works pretty well. I liked it before because it got rid of my coughs pretty quickly and lightened congestion...but now that I'm in college, it doesn't work very well. It even gives me rashes on my face. But like I said...I probably used it too much growing up.

Now, I realize that I am probably a rare exception, but isn't it a bad thing to take some horrible tasting syrup for a bad cold and then break out in hives and start violently puking?Otherwise it's great!

I think it works just as well as NqQuil and it doesn't leave me feeling groggy.

I had to give it an extra star because it works. But the last time I took Robitussin, I accidentally inhaled it and was coughing my head off, trying not to hurl, and staggering all over the place. Please hold your nose for the sake of safety when you take it. Take care, everyone!

Every pharmacist I have ever asked about which cough medicine to buy has always recommended Robitussin. I get a lot of coughs and have to say that I tend to agree with them. No doubt one of the best on the market.

Robitussin tastes horrible, and it works horrible. Yes, that's right belive it or not Dr. Mom doesn't work. Nope, it doesn't help any bit. It just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I don't get sick that often but the last cold I had was terrible, so was the Robitussin. I did not experience any relief from my stuffy nose. I also found my coughing only mildly supressed. I will not purchase this brand of product again.

It works sometimes, but it does not taste good. It leaves a nasty aftertaste which makes people sicker.

This tastes nasty. However, it coats the throat and seems to relieve symptoms.

Effective in a small dose. I like the non drowsy formula. It relieves symptoms relatively quickly. Warning, it tastes bad.

Since I have become a mother of two with a full-time job, I have found myself "medicating" much more often than I used to. Robitussin has been a life saver. I know the old adage, "Treat a cold, it will last a week, don't treat a cold, it will last 7 days." However, I have realized the importance of making that week as painless as possible, and Robitussin does the trick. I am currently taking the DM formula and it effectively eases my sore throat and cough, relieves my nasal congestion and most importantly, does not make me groggy. I highley recommend Robitussin for the day. Of course, this evening I will be taking a tasty gulp of Nyquil!

Nothing works better than Robitussin to relieve a nasty cough. They have a bunch of different varieties, all of which work really well. Sure, it doesn't taste great, but it definitely does the trick. Chris Rock did a great bit in his recent stand-up about how Robitussin was the all-curing elixir of his father. Scrape your knee? Rub some tussin in there. Sprain your ankle? Soak a towel in some tussin and wrap it around your ankle.

It seems to me that if you are sick, you would want your body to have a fighting chance to battle with the illness and not make it waste time clearing a drug from its system.

Robitussin gives you the relief you need and still allows you to function as a regular person.
