Fri Nov 13 2009I checked this place out first on the internet then I went to the store. The internet sight is amazing, and the store was really a treat. This place is simply the coolest. They have really cool vintage Silvertone and Magnatone amps. Rare vintage Fender Starcaster was really cool to check out. Tons of cool Les Pauls, too. Very rare and hard to find models. Prices are reasonable and staff was nice and helpful, too. They have a killer webstie, too!

Thu Oct 22 2009This store is a ripoff. They sell "vintage" instruments which are all in need of serious costly repairs. The average consumer or musician doesnt know about the many things that can go wrong with "vintage" gear until they play with it for a month and realize the bridge is pulling apart from the guitar, or there is a major crack in the body, or the caps need replacing. This store is dishonest. They WILL rip you off. I dont see how this place is still in business.

Sun Aug 17 2003Rivington Guitars has only been open since January, but it's already hugely popular. No wonder, given that they buy and sell high-quality vintage guitars, like the Fender Jazz bass and the Gibson Les Paul, for extremely reasonable prices. A slightly beat-up but great-sounding Fender Stratocaster (Jimi Hendrix's weapon), for example, was priced at just $400 (it's normally around $900). On a typical Saturday afternoon, this low-ceilinged, studio-size store turns into a neighborhood hangout for hipsters who want to talk shop or jam. Stop by regularly to check out what's in stock good deals go quick. Repairs are also available.
