Terrible. Will be be taking my business elsewhere & be sure to tell the community. There are many run-ins with these difficult, repugnant employees every time my family & I walk in that particular store that we've encountered, as well as many others I have witnessed. We are literally sick & tired of it. We are taking our money & business elsewhere. These employees & managers are incorrigible & totally incompetent at handling the most basic, mundane situation, and to make matters even worse for the customer, they ignore you, are rude, unfriendly & not helpful whatsoever. Nothing ever gets done, no matter how nice & reasonable you are with all of them. There are too many establishments that work hard for their money and are a LOT better to shop. They do not follow their own company policies & are non-communicative with their clients (customers).

Last Friday evening I purchased a mini digital camera in this store for my sons birthday. It was $14.99 and the only item I bought. The cashier's name was Jackie. I wrote a check for he item, and of course, have it as proof that I paid, however; she was having an issue with he register and was not able to give me an appropriate receipt. Being that I was in a hurry to get back to the birthday party I was not concerned. I took quite a few photos that evening of him and his friends, but to my dismay, not a single one came out when I downloaded the camera's software. I called the store and they said I could exchange it for another camera of equal value. I explained the issue with the receipt from the night before, this did not seem to pose a problem over the phone. When I came in, I brought the camera to the cashier and showed my check, since I was not issued a receipt. When I chose a different camera at the price I had paid the night before, they then proceeded to ring up the old camera ... Read more

At least the location nearest my house. On two separate occasions the pharmacy didn't have the medicine that was needed. The first time was when my son was first born. At the time he was a preemie and had developed a lung infection which can be fatal. The pediatrician gave him two scripts with one being the most urgent to start. When I was handed the bag with my scripts I noticed that there was only one bottle and guess which one wasn't there. The pharmacist didn't say anything until I brought it up and I was told that it would be tomorrow at the earliest that they would get the medicine. I explained the urgency of the situation and they called another location that had the needed medicine. I drove over and got it, it was only ten minutes away, but I was upset that they didn't inform me of the problem until I asked. Recently I dropped off two scripts for my wife. The clerk was abrupt with me and didn't ask any questions but stated that it would be ready in 40 minutes. I came back a... Read more

Rite aid on N. College road in wilmington nc is one of the worst I've ever seen with customer service. They are always slow, but today, after a year of using them for monthly thyroid medcine I was yelled at, hung up on and the staff acted like nothing was wrong with what the staff member did. I will never go to this store again and do not recommend them. They are rude beyond belief. One visit there and you will know.

If you are in the Rite Aid at Jamboree Road and Irvine Boulevard in Tustin, California and are waiting in line to pay for your things, watch out for Cheryl. She can be dishonest ...in a sneaky way.

Prices for regular products aren't too bad, but don't bother depending on them for pharmacy or photo services. (West Orange, NJ) To make a long story short, their supposed "1 hour" photo service turned into "3 day" photo service. I was e-mailed to confirm that my photos had FINALLY arrived, and when I took the long trek to the store, I was told they hadn't arrived. Then the staff had the nerve to treat me like *I* was the incompetent one. Apparently their printing machine was "broken" and they had no clue when it would be fixed. They offered me a free complimentary photo CD, but when I took it to a different branch, it was the same story. I was fed up and ordered prints online for 1hr service at CVS. I picked them up within 1 and 1/2 hours with no problem. Never again for Rite Aid photos. As for the pharmacy, they lose my prescriptions 50% of the time, make you wait forever for a simple pickup, and constantly overcharge.

Let me back up and start with saying, the first time I took my prescription to Rite Aid, they lost it and I had to wait 4 hours longer than what I was promised to get my medicine. So I am very much 9 months pregnant. B/c I am pregnant, I have had high blood pressure and have to take high blood pressure medicine 4 times a day. I noticed on Wednesday that I was almost out of medicine and would need it before Saturday. [And I wanted to be sure to call it in with plenty of time in case something happened, like they lost it..again. and because of Monday being Memorial Day] . I call the automated line, it tells me it will be ready to pick up after 2 on Thursday. I ended up not having time after work on Thursday so I specifically called and let them know that I would be in after I got off on Friday to pick it up. [With me only having 2 pills left]. Friday afternoon at 6:30, I walk into Rite Aid and notice all the lights are out in the pharmacy. Me: Me SM: Store Manager Me: "..The ... Read more

Their lack of common knowledge is only the beginning of their incompetency. They gave me the wrong medication and tried to overcharge me when I corrected their mistake. I would never go back.

Store #5622 in Carlsbad, California is completely a joke. They spelled my last name wrong so everytime I call, they can never find me and tell me I don't have a prescription there. I tell them the correct spelling of my name, and they never change it. They gave me the wrong prescription. When I told them it was wrong, they just said they would change it. It's been over a week and they still haven't filled my correct prescription. I finally just had my doctor send my prescription to CVS. They actually know what they're doing there!

No, the one in Loma Linda, CA is completely incompetent. They will tell you to your prescription will be ready at 3:30 PM. You give them any extra 1/2 hr and show up at 4:00. It still not ready, don't get your prescription until 6:00 PM. We go to pharmacy in the Target stores now. They are quick deliver as promised.

Didn't call me when a prescription couldn't be filled. Frequently don't have the prescription or enough to fill but never call to let me know. I've had to make repeated unnecessary trips.

I've read some of these posts, and so many people are complaining about things that are a result of their OWN STUPIDITY! For example, if you're out of refills and waiting for your doctor to authorize it, then hello...don't blame the pharmacy! Every prescription I've ever gotten in my entire life ALWAYS says how many refills are left, and when they expire, including my Rite Aid prescriptions. If you were to read the label, you would know...its all right there in black and white. As far as rude employees go, the Rite Aid in my city in Oregon has none...they are all top-notch, friendly folks who always seem genuinely appreciative of my business. And folks, you have to remember that these people are not going to treat you like a princess if you treat them like garbage. If you're rude to them, they will likely be rude to you. Many of us are downright abusive to people in the service industry, without even realizing it. Though the decor at some of the stores is looking a little old these day... Read more

I switched to Eckerds, now Rite Aid, in Griffin, GA, from Wal-Mart. Their drive-through window was convenient and I was tired of the mobs at Wally World. What a mistake! Several times I drove away from the window thinking I had my prescription. Wrong! It might be partially filled, or they would fill one but not the other and APPARENTLY it was too much bother to communicate this to me. Scrip expired? No communication whatsoever to me until I showed up to purchase the scrip their system accepted and scheduled for pickup. Tried to fill a scrip at my new pharmacy in Hampton. They said it could not be filled until Feb 08. Why? Because my insurance indicated it had just been filled for 90 days. How could this be? Rite Aid, acting on their own, filled the prescription and never called me to notify me it was waiting. Yesterday I received a $20 coupon from them asking me to return my business to them. Not too effin likely.

They do have a lot of pills on sales, as far as I understood from internet, but they also taken, as it seems, an example from these foreign online pharmacies that made a proposition to reduce some costs for 300 or so pills. Not bad at all, yes?

I guess it depends on what store you go to. Ours in Sacramento on J and 48th is primo.  The staff are amazingly friendly, personable, thorough and helpful.  They'll take you right to the product your looking for and give you options.  They are always having great sales and deals.  Oh and there is this floor person named Ramon who is very wonderful and charming to deal with.  If you want super personalized service be sure to ask for him.

They have an out of date pharmacy at our neighborhood location (sherman oaks, ca) and they tried to bill an old insurance plan even though we presented them with the updated card about 4 times. Also lost my customer history - RUDE RUDE RUDE staff.

Quality, prices and service are like any other chain drug store. Gave it a four star instead of a three star because you can still get an ice cream cone like the good old days.

Rite Aid is the nearest drug store to my house so I usually go their for my health needs. They have pretty low reasonable prices and friendly service.
