Karma is coming to get Hatch. It's not good to play "Survivor" with the IRS. They'll always vote you off the island. Hell, they own the island.

I think Richard played a great game. I still think Kelly deserved to win, but Rich is okay too. He is a very nice guy outside of Survivor. He played a game, he knew people would dislike him, but hey, it worked out for him.

I feel bad for his son. He's going to turn gay faster than the government declaring war on Iraq.

Man if he ever tried half of the things he did out there in the non survivor reality, he would have been thrown out on his fat behid. I still can't believe he beat Kelly.

How anyone can anything positive about this slimy creep is beyond me. He has not one redeeming quality. People say he deserved to win. Baloney! Richard won only through brainwashing, bullying and getting lucky that he was surrounded by a bunch of dimbulbs. Had he been on any of the other "Survivors" he would've been one of the first people voted off. I pray to God they don't bring him back for the "Survivor All Star." It's bad enough the creep won, but I hate how he keeps popping up once in a while like a molerat in a garden. His appearance on the "Marqueses" finale made me want to puke. His joking around about taking off his clothes is so old and stale and it was never funny to begin with. Anyone who beats up their adopted kid and ex-boyfriend has some issues. And to think he's a corporate trainer - that's scary! Would someone just please make this scumbag go away forever?

Of all the Survivor winners, Richard Hatch is the most memorable. He did not cared about people's feelings, walked around in his birthday suit, and made alliances popular. Every reality show contestant had tried to be like Evil Richard. From Prince John in Survivor 4 to the Boston Bimbos in the Amazing race.

Richard is the biggest scumbag to appear on TV, worse than J.R. Ewing, and the scary thing is that Richard is a real person. How this guy got to be successful at what he does (corporate trainer) is beyond me, because he is the biggest antisocial jerk to walk the earth. He is an arrogant, annoying, whiny control freak. As we've seen with his arrests for apparently assaulting his adopted son and for sure beating up an ex-boyfriend, I can't imagine anyone, gay or straight, wanting to be friends or lovers of such a loser! I recently read Peter Lance's awesome book, "The Stingray," and how it dissected Richard's Machievellian strategy to win. But the fact of the matter is that Richard has lost big time at his attempts to capitalize on his "Survivor" fame. He has boasted he would host the next "Survivor" series, but obviously, that didn't come to pass, thank god! He also failed at two auditions- one to host "Who Wants to Be A Millioniare" in Australia and another one for "The Weakest Link."... Read more

All those reality fans out there, ever wonder why many of these shows seem so cut throat and munipulative? Why so many of the players form aliances, and then break them at will? This is why, Richard Hatch did the same thing and won. I HATE RICHARD HATCH! This man will go down in history as the man responsible for setting the worst possible precident for these shows. He was an over all jerk, and he won. I am shocked that the rating is this high.

I'm sorry, I love this guy. He's smart, funny, and could play the game. Sure, he was a bit of an ass, but he definitely deserved to win.

Rich, you were evil, but your strategy worked. You played the game well, and it worked for you--you won the million dollars. I can't say I wanted you to win, but you did win, and I have to give you credit for that.

I don't hate him for his setting up of that alliance and backstabbing or whatsoever. The main reason I hate him is because starting from day 1, he keeps on monpolising the show, trying to attract the attention of the viewers, but I find him way tooooo annoying. Meanwhile, I wonder why did he brought his jounal when he knows that he is going to be walking around naked? Ugh!!!!! By seeing one more second of him can make my eyes sore!!!!!1

Richard was awesome. I thought he was going to win, and sure enough, I was right. I don't know why people think he's so bad, he played the game, and he played it well.

I rate Richard #3, okay, only because #1 and #2 are "bad" and "terrible." However, I am biased because of the lifestyle he chose, Richard was not born with it. We used to throw them out of the army. On the positive side, Little Richard knows how to manipulate people, and that's good for a corporate trainer as well as for a provisioner where food is in scarce supply. For the rules of this contest, a person needs all the treachery possible.

He played the game. He was the to win a million bucks, not make friends... and that's exactly what he did. People judge him, but who's laughing all the way to the bank?

I think Richard deserves the million smackers because he was really the only one (except for Kelly) who really "wanted" it bad enough. I don't think he was slimy or cut-throat in a malicious way. He was pretty honest (except to Jeffy) about his plans. His alliance was a great idea, and could have been defeated earlier in the game if some of the others would have opened their eyes. Since they didn't figure it out in time, they lost. Whereas Kelly probably deserved the money based on her physical domination in the last couple of weeks, ironically it came down to Richard picking a number closer to Greg's than Kelly. How hard it must be for Kelly to think about all that work and effort coming down to eeny meeny miny moe!

I don't care how well this guy can fish, he's an ass. When he and Rudy are the only two left, I don't see anyone voting for him. Go back to RI naked boy!

The only reason that I'm not giving Richard one star is that his slimy, manipulative, and conniving personality adds drama to the show. You have to wonder what the show would be like without his stupid alliance system. Would it be as interesting or would the voting be more random and arbitrary? Who knows. All I know is that there is no way Richard could win the million dollars... or at least, I hope not.

You need to have a villain in this type of environment, and Richard plays the part well. Crafty, conniving, and more than a little bit "bitchy" (I love that he is a corporate trainer), you have to hand it to him for winning immunity last night under pressure - I think that broke the back of the non consortia members.

Fat, naked, gay men is not what CBS had in mind when they started this show. Unfortunately for all of us, it is exactly what Richard in mind. It will be sweet justice when the other members of his alliance turn on him. One guy who is sure to stay on his side is his "friend" Rudy.

At first, I liked Richard and thought that he had what it takes to come out the winner..however he is so devious and sneaky with his "alliances". Sure he can spear fish and catch a few nasty tasting eels. But he isn't a benefitting anyone by pitting everyone against one another (except maybe himself..for now) I am also curious as to why the heck everyone is listening to him and going along with him..He is becoming the Jim Jones of the Island..beware if he starts passing out coconut juice and telling everyone to drink..he seems to have an unnatural power to control these "survivors"

I think Richards ability to catch (spear) fish has made him a Survivor...He is playing too many people against each other and I think this will lead to his departure. He isn't catching that many fish, why hasn't he lost some of his inner-tube?

I dislike Richard's personality enough to give him one star, but I have to give him at least two stars because he makes "Survivor" much more fun to watch. I still laugh every time they show this fat, unattractive guy walking around butt naked (it's also great to see the reaction on other people's faces). I'm kind of surprised his blatant, machiavellian scheming hasn't caused him to be voted off the island yet.
