Sun Apr 18 2010From the Author/Recording Artist, If I were able to rewrite these CD liner notes now I would explain the nature of the rhythms played. They were trance rhythms for the most part. During the couple of year period prior to these recordings I was performing trance rhythms people would dance to for an hour or two at functions in NYC like a benefit for children held on the beach area of the Hudson River in what was later to become the Financial Center along the lower West Side of Manhattan. Also, in NYC's large creative populations, visual artists loved to paint, creating to these ongoing trance rhythms. Dancers loved them too. Two of my favorite creative dancers would whirl to my trance rhythms for long periods of time. The artists and dancers asked me to record more of these trance rhythms for them to create and exercise to. Lots of modern dance in NYC, fortunately.
