Great PC game of its time

Atmospheric single player although it tended to get repetitive and boring by the end. Multiplayer is good until it was usurped by Medal of Honor.

Awesome single player game. Good graphics, smooth gameplay. Okay plot. Online multiplayer doesn't compare to Medal of Honor.

A horrible newer version of a once spectacular game. Nothing at all like the original. Its a shame on how such great things are turned into garbage.

Fun. but easy

This game is very similar to Half-Life in its game play, and even to Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. The monsters and occult stuff make this game a little more substantial though. If you like 1st person shooters you should get this game: It has a lot of great levels and scenes like you never saw before, the cheats work, and the game is just hard enough yet plenty of variety.

well i won't say ID lost their touch, cus you can't lose something you never had. sure the original wolfenstein and doom were a huge breakthrough and success, but frankly they haven't evolved since then. RTCW is well made, no arguments about it, the graphic is great, the mounteins are very realistic, something that allways lacked in other games, the envoirnament is interactive, for exemple when you shoot at wine tanks it start leaking from it, and when shooting at the water there is a splash where the bullets hit... cool fog effect too. the cinemas are well made, and the sound is good. the problem is that it doesn't do anything that hasn't already been done. first thing is that the storyline is pretty lame, we have the SS paranormal devision, a group that tries to uncover somekind of death knight in archeologic digings and deals with paranormal stuff such as undead which they ressurect as troops. a great intro movie shows a fight many years ago between a warlock and a huge knight to in...
