Regis is the male counterpart of Ellen, they both have to do dumb things to get a laugh(Ellen dancing,Regis yelling)They really dont have any other talents.Regis was just in the right place at the right time to get his job and Ellen who knows why.Regis is 78 years old he really ought to think about retiring but I think he knows he would very soon would be forgotten.

got to give him credit. he has been a talk show host for decades and is still here. pretty good at what he does. he must be doing something right. when most talk shows are lucky to last two years. not my favorite but I tune in to his show when I want to see a celebrity. I wish Kelly and Regis would not talk so long and bring on more guests instead. an almost four just for longevity.

Love Regis. He is quite a pro and fine storyteller. I also like the opening where he tells about his life events. Fun!

Love Reege. The first 20 minutes of that program is always so interesting. I love to know what he did the night before or how his concerts went, etc. He is charming and I like his humor.

Great fun! Seems to have a genuine love of the audience. Even when the cameras are off he plays with the crowd - something Kathie Lee didn't do.

You can tell he dosen't like Kelly and didn't like Kathie Lee. I think he just wants his own show and dosen't want a co-host. He should just be lucky that they still want him on there. I've heard he's a real jerk after the cameras are off.

I think Regis Philbin is annoying, and downright arrogant and rude. I heard reports that a contestant on Who wants to be a Millionaire sued him for making jokes about his weight. How rude.

I find this guy not only not funny but completly lame. I consider myself to be very easily entertained but this idiot's idea of a morning show is so damn stupid. They give him some little girl as co-host(she's just there laugh at his stupid jokes to make him seem funnier) who is less than half his age. She just there so When Regis spits out one of his hilarious little stories she can say oh Rege!! in her little schoolgirl voice. What a dynamic morningtime duo of utter hilarity those two are! I'm sure she was picked for that show becasue of her witty personality. That show is for old men who think ole'Rege is great and like to look at the schoolgirl but can't get it up anymore anyway. His jokes are lame, he is lame and I think he might be a homosexual.

Regis is past his prime. He's a miserable old man that doesn't have anything nice to say. He's rude, obnoxious, and annoying. For god sakes, the guy can't even order a coffee at Starbucks. What an idiot. GET RID OF HIM. He's useless and has got to go!!

This man is so annoying I don't know how Kelly Ripa can stand to sit through him every morning. He's loud and yells way too much. He might be deaf but the audience is not. Can all he talk about are Notre Dame, Trump, and getting lost to the grocery store? The man is a sissy in stunts and challenges. Can he do anything but just sit on his behind?

Regis gets a lot of criticism for his I'm shouting and I don't know why! approach...but if you watch him for any length of time, you begin to see that he is considerate, funny, intelligent, kind, and quite a jolly fellow. He is still the best host they ever had for Who Wants to be a Millionaire? He is willing to take chances on television by employing self-effacing humor (versus the self-aggrandizing humor co-host Ripa shoves in your face every day to everyone's disgust). He hangs with Donald Trump so I wouldn't say he is exactly a slouch either. And he is a smart business executive with a significant ownership chunck of ABC after so many years of success on the air. He must be doing something right. Is he a bafoon? Yeah...occasionally. But if you listen to the content of his conversation and the emotions that are behind it, you realize he is a very genuine, caring, considerate and optomistic individual. He outclasses virtually every female co-host he has ever shared the stage ... Read more

He is so annoying that it makes him funny. Then again, I could say the same about Richard Simmons. Regis is at his best when he's a guest on Letterman or Leno and the hosts try to get Regis's goat. Regis is genuinely funny. I don't like "Live" and I thought "Millionaire" was boring, but when you get Regis in an unscripted situation (or at least a situation that isn't as structured as the aforementioned shows) he is alot of fun.

He's the biggest dufus on tv now. When it was him and Kathy Mee THEY were the 2 biggest dufuses. Kind of miss her antics but glad she's gone on the whole. They need to get rid of Philbin and turn it into the Live with Kelly and Mark show.

I really don't see Regis's appeal. He is an old fogie past his prime by about 30 years. Here's some news people...the "kids" today don't dig Joey Bishop, or say "23-skedoo". Same goes with Regis. He's strictly for the geriatric set. Do his fan base know that they landed a man on the moon yet? Regis is horrible as an interviewer. He's painfully obsequious to "mega stars", is clueless about young stars (can't even pronounce half his guest's names properly), and is just plain painful to watch...that's my final answer.
