Thu Dec 04 2008I'm not really sure why this is listed under heavy metal music, as it is a collaboration between a Greek composer of traditional Greek music and an almost forgotten but eclectic band of Juiliard graduates and rock musicians from a town called Tom's River, N.Jersey that mixed classical music with 60's / early 70's forms of rock and pop- the band were sometimes labeled a 'baroque rock' act too. This was the third of five albums that this very early progressive rock act put out. The band included X files theme composer Matrin Fulterman, aka Mark Snow as well as the late Michael Kamen, who scored numerous films and who also worked with everyone from Bowie to Metallica. The band never had any real commercial success, but did have a good live reputation. Their next album "Roll Over," was probably their best, and it did include some hard rock and proto metal.
