Tue Mar 22 2011I purchased a heart shaped ruby ring from Reeds for my wife for Valentine's Day. My wife really loved the ring. I guess because of the thoughtfullness on my part (he-he) or that I did not buy her diamonds as I have for the past many many years. Any way, after about 2 weeks, the stone fell out. I took the ring back to Reeds and they me they could send it our for repair because the ring had a crack in the mount that holds the stone. This could not have occurred while my wife was wearing the ring and could only have been a manufacturer defect. Reeds said that I would have to pay for any repairs-period. They would not take the ring back. They would not swap it for another. They would not give store credit. NOTHING!! The sucker is stuck with a defective ring and a loose stone. I purchased a $2000 diamond pendant from them 3 months earlier and was going to purchase the matching ring and earrings while I waited for the repair or stone resetting. The clerk was ready to ring up the $3000 purcha... Read more

Wed Feb 09 2011Reeds has TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Here's my story about my experience with Reeds. I received a ring from Reeds as an early Christmas gift from my boyfriend. Within ONE DAY, two stones had fallen out of the ring. I had not been doing any manual labor, showered with the ring, or anything to justify those stones falling out. After the Christmas rush died down, I called Reeds.com customer service and told them what had happened. They apologized and promised to send me a brand new ring as soon as possible after I sent in the original ring, which I did within a couple of days. Several weeks later, after receiving no communications from Reeds about the delivery or status of the delivery of the new ring, I decided to call Reeds.com customer service. After being on hold forever, the representative I spoke with told me, after checking the tracking number of the original ring I had sent in, that it had been lost within the office but that someone at the front desk "remembered seeing it." Th... Read more

Sun Jan 16 2011First off, I'd like to say that if I could give it a lower rating I would. They have been wose than terrible. My mother ordered me this ring for Christmas, beautiful ring - Pearl with 2 Diamonds and 4 Blue Topaz, I loved it when I saw it at my local jewelry store. But they sold it and the only one I could find would have to be shipped from Reeds. It came in fine I got it for christmas loved it for about a week till one of the stones fell out. I called the online costomer service - no answer. I called Reeds in Columbus GA - no answer. I called Reeds in Macon GA (a 2 hour drive from where I live) and finally got someone to pick up the phone. They told me they would check to see if they could order it and they would call me back. Never got a call. The next day I called them. They had already ordered it without taking any of my information, no ring size nothing, and it was being shipped to the store 2 hours away from me. I told them I would need it sent to my house and they told me the... Read more

Sun Apr 25 2010As a former employee of Reeds Jewelers I would like to give a little bit of inside information about the company. First of all, they do NOT care about what you want or need. They are motivated by the almighty dollar. If you want to have something custom built you must pay for it before you see it (which is the typical way for most stores, so not that weird), but when it is completed it is non-returnable so therefor it is yours regardless of the quality of work or if it looks the way you wanted it to NO EXCUSES. Next, the district manager that I worked under at Reeds was a joke. I worked for two in my time as an employee and neither one of them was in ANYWAY cooperative with a customer. When there were issues with customers, there was usually a joke or two thrown around about how the customer is stupid and does not know what they are talking about. It was truley appaling to see adults act the way that they did. Also, as an employee I usually made my jewelery purchases from K... Read more

Wed Dec 30 2009I attempted to make a return to Reeds Jewelers in the Lakeline Mall, Cedar Park, Texas on December 30. The staff there, including the manager, were completely unhelpful. I had received the jewelry as a gift, and did not have a receipt, but had a service agreement, which was cancellable for 30 days. After being told that it was impossible to return the gift because "they won't let us let you do that," the store manager explained that it was because there is a 10-day return policy, meaning that I would have had to have returned it on December 28, the Monday after Christmas. I asked him who "they" were and if I could talk to "them" and he said he just meant it was store policy. The policy does not extend time for Holidays, or any other reason, despite the fact that I explained that the jewelry I was given makes my skin break out, and I really couldn't wear it. When I asked if I could talk to anyone else about getting a store credit or a refund, they told me I should leave "and take ... Read more

Mon Apr 06 2009Several years ago I purchased a necklace for my then girlfriend, now wife, costing around $699 on sale from $999. I forget the name of the setting but it had two rows of diamonds positioned vertically in an outward curved shape. From the side it looked like a C. Anyway, we took it in every year as instructed to have it examined and cleaned. These were the stipulations in the warranty. If we followed them and anything ever happened to it, like a stone falling out, they would fix it for free. Well, a stone finally did fall out. We took it in and they said no problem, they would have it fixed. When they called and said it was ready to be picked up we went within a day or so and the repair job was HORRIBLE. I could have done better had I had the stone and some super glue. They told us they had sent it downstairs to a kiosk in the mall called The Watch Doctor because their jeweler had been really backed up. I told them I thought this was completely unacceptable to send a piece o... Read more

Tue Aug 21 2007I brought my mother's wedding and engagement band to Reed's in the Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News, VA. THEY RUINED THE RING!!!! I brought it in because it was bent a little, and by the time I was done, they had thinned out the gold to paper thin, and the ring was misshaped. It went back 5 times because of horrible workmanship. One time, the diamond was on crooked, the bands weren't flush with each other and there was a horrible curve to one side, and not the other. I was assured that the jeweler in VA Beach was an expert and could fix the ring. I was lied to. It will never be the same again. I recommend if you need any jewelry repaired, DO NOT GO TO REEDS! It doesn't seem to matter to them the quality of the person working on the jewelry. I give them negative 100 stars, although it made me give them something just to submit this.

Thu Jul 29 2004I bought my fiancee, Diana, a terrific 2.0 carat ideal cut diamond engagement ring in a platinum setting from Reeds Jewelers. Althougth the web site was very easy to follow and gave a lot of information, I still wasn't sure what I wanted, so I chatted with their experts, who helped me understand the options and pick the best ring for the money that a) Diana would love, and b) wouldn't blow my budget. It came on time with all the documentation, and was just as impressive as I'd hoped. I highly recommend Reeds.com.

Wed May 05 2004Reeds.com is great! Anything I order from them comes faster than I expected, and the quality is terrific. Once I had to call and change an order, and their customer service rep that I spoke with was wonderful and took care of it immediately. I highly recommend Reeds Jewelers!
