I'm not going to make this an entire page, but here's a brief synopsis of our experience with RPM or Real Property Management. Repair requests get a contractor sent to the house, never to be heard from again. Empty promises about how they're waiting on the homeowner to approve the repairs and boldface lies about the progress of in-place workorders has us looking elsewhere. We submitted a claim for a repair (a safety issue, mind you) and suffered with the issue for over two months until we looked into legal action. At that point, we learned that Texas law states we can remedy the issue ourselves and deduct from the rent. Even after providing the Texas Property Code to the President (or someone claiming to be), we are still fighting that battle. Plumbing that barely works, A/C that is failing and nothing but empty promises, lies and outright RUDE and INSULTING conversations have us looking elsewhere, and putting up as many reviews as we can in the meantime. We had the worst experience with this company. First of all, it took almost 4 months for them to find a tenant. After they found a tenant, the tenant NEVER paid rent for 4 months.. we went 8 months with us paying mortgage. In addition, we had to go to court ourselves to get tenant evicted. we paid all that cost as well. the contractors they use are extremely expensive. for example their repair guys charged for over $200 just to rekey the doors! we paid over $1500 in repairs that their contractors charged. they always made things seem much more urgent than they really were.. i have never written a review online but i felt compelled to alert home owners NOT to even call this company, much less use them for ur management needs... it was a night mare. they never really did a good background check on the tenant. we ended up suffering for their oversight.
