Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry

We LOVE Dr Dave and the hygentists at Raleigh Peds Dentistry. All 3 of my kids have had great experiences there and actaully look forward to going to the dentist. We have been going for almost 5 years. Yes, in the beginning we did have some long waits and a couple of rescheduled appts at the office's conveinence, but in the last couple of years the waits have been 5-10 minutes MAX and the office staff seems to have it together. Regardless, we love the dentist so much we refer friends there all the time.

We really like the dentist. however, while checking out I got into a dispute with the office staff. I was so irritated I canceled my daughter's future appointment and will be finding a new office. I wish I could have the dentist without his office staff! :(

Every visit has been excellent over the past three years. They have always been on time, interested in each patient, and eager to explain and discuss issues going on with my children. I love that they can schedule all three of them for the same time slot! My daughter had to have 3 teeth pulled at age 8. Dr. Dave and his staff were so kind and skilled, that she ASKED after the extraction when she would get to COME BACK. Now, that's a great dentist! I

Upon arrival, the office is very enchanting, and kid friendly. Beware, with it comes a heafty price tag. Their fees are well above what my insurance co. was willing to pay, so be prepared for a lot of out of pocket expense. Also know that they have an 18% finance charge for any balance over 30 days. Cha ching for them! Also, beware of making a late afternoon appt., on two seperate occassions, they called to cancel/reschedule (I got the impression that they just wanted to go home early). Front desk staff can be very rude as can their biller. Good Bye!

I was referred to Dr Olson by our "family dentist" because the "family dentist" didn't know how to deal with an upset 3-yr-old who needed a filling. Turns out, she actually needed several fillings and two crowns -- I'm SO glad that we ended up seeing Dr Olson. (And yes, I did get a "second opinion" from another pediatric dentist in another town, just to make sure Dr Olson wasn't putting me on. I mean, how in the world could the family dentist have missed all that??!). The 3-yr-old ended up needing sedation dentistry and I was a nervous wreck, but Dr Olson answered all of my questions completely and honestly, explained everything, and did a great job with the dental work itself. Now I take both of my children to Dr Olson. He is patient and kind, and really good at putting both parents and children at ease. He has an incredible knack for handling my children. We had a very, very unhappy experience here in May 2008. They lost our appointment that we had made 6 months previously. It was an end of day appointment for two children which you pretty much have to schedule 6 months in advance to get a prime time like that. I thought they'd work something out as they'd lost our appointment but there were no other end of day appointments available until December 2008! One of the office workers was so very rude that I dreaded having to call back to ask for our x-rays to be transferred. Not the kind of patient care you'd expect at a nice practice like this. Especially a pediatric practice. We've never had any problems like this with any other doctor or dentist office in the area. We fled to a new practice immediately.

Dr. Dave and his staff truly make Raleigh Pediatric Dentistry the BEST pediatric dentistry practice in the Triangle. My children love, love, love him. He has a wonderful friendly, caring, and gentle demeanor, and a very kid-friendly office. The decor is beautiful (check his website for photos). He is also great at educating patients on preventative care. My kids actually have a good time at his office because there are things to play with and look at, and Dr. Dave and his staff truly put them at ease. He has flavored gloves, floss, and puts cute liittle sunglasses on them when he inspects their mouths. We've been patients for almost three years now and cannot imagine going elsewhere. Also, everyone I've referred to him LOVES him as well.
