Radiohead

Radiohead: the band that broke with rock tradition. They broke new ground, albeit on the shoulders of some others. (who also broke ground.) they brought or helped bring since its not just them jazziness and electronica into alternative guitar rock. In fact how they encapsulated the era was genius. Their problem is that they do the predictable, to me. They see the nitches and they go ahead and fill it. They cross their t's and dot their all their i's. They posed like fashion plates in their promo photos...a rebellion against the fake authenticity as they saw it of earlier rock stars who embodied canned rebellion? well, thats what they thought, or they were just a bunch of brit-wankers puffed up on themselves. STILL I prefer more irony. Well, people should really not be "dissing" on this track - it's exceptional. Just because it's more popular than some of the others it gets some shit. Yeah, it's NOT their only good song but I had to defend it.

Decent, kind of genric

SO GOOD. All of their songs just convey so much emotion although i wouldnt listen to any of their albums to cheer myself up or party or enjoy life or anything, their music really powerfull. My favorite song ever by them is Karma Police. Just so you know.

No doubt excellent musicians with a varied knowledge of different styles, and have quite a knack for writing different forms of music. However, spent the first 15 years of their career going through musical puberty. "In Rainbows" is the only true, original, coherent work that they have. (OK computer flamers, come on down!) Alright Yorke, you can play IDM. That doesn't make you original and new. You're not the only one to chop up your voice, how indie of you. All in all, talented band, they seemed to accidentally trip up stairs and land on success, and they sort of just rolled with it. They popularized electronic music to the mainstream (IDM and other things,) and unfortunately they get a lot of the credit for fusing rock and electronic aspects together (very not true.) OK Computer was an extremely forced move at going "Art Rock," and everyone ate it up. I personally find their music pretentious, but I'll face it, they got a lot of good ones.

I know one Radiohead song and I think it's pretty good.

Fantastic songs, music and lyrics. A fab band.

I really like these guys, but the albums are inconsistent.... THE BENDS will always be my favorite (Fake Plastic Trees baby...) followed by OK COMPUTER - but every CD has some definte highlights... I could stand to hear Creep less though....

Two damn good albums- not enough to get into the HOF. . .but still a classic case of being a 'musician's band'. . .talented- some airplay. . .but the alterna-music thing is passe so this band will always be a possession of a few select fans.

Pablo Honey was a great album by them

Radiohead actually bores me...I can't think of one song they made that I actually like and I know that sounds sad because so many are a fan of theirs...The lead singer's voice actually sounds so sad ..Its funny because Karma Police is playing right now and I actually like it..maybe I should give them a chance

Karma Police is the only song I remember from them and it's not even that good.

They're mainstream.  Hardly subscribing to the DIY ethos.  And their music is totally predictable.

they have great potential but cant seem to write a descent song since creep....

they have a couple of good songs, but I don't really like them
