Salvatore is one of the best in the business. With excellent character development/description and excellent battle description, Salvatore can pull you in faster than any author. He truly knows how to create an epic fantasy hero...Drizzt Do'Urden(Forgotten Realms), Nightbird and Jilseponie(DemonWars Saga), and Brynn Dharielle(Second DemonWars Saga)are very tangible characters and each one of us has a little of them in us. Salvatore is a must read for any epic fantasy fan...

I really appreciate the way R.A. writes. I read at least 6 books so I think I have a feel for his type of writting. I really do enjoy that he chose a woman as the main heroin. If you want a good & fun read that wisks away to a land of elves and magic read this: Demon wars I & Demon Wars II. Great books! :)

Beautiful, just beautiful writing. His Forgotten Realm series involving the infamous Drizzt Do`Urden are simply a wonderful read. They put a twist and a heart throb on an old cliche that even the youngest of children know today: one is not born evil. This Taoist belief is the start of his famous series that begin in the Menzoberranzan, and is carried to adventures outside the dark recesses of the Drow world. Unlike Robert Jordan and other known authors, his books do not have a tendency to slip in the later novels. In addition, his other series are as well involving, though not as commonly known to the public. I'd suggest RA Salvatore to any reader any day.

Wonderful author, one of the best in the genre. His works are full with action and adventure and his characters are terrific. I like the original Demon Wars saga most, but I also love Drizzt adventures as well as his "Star Wars" books.

i never really likedd fantasy (aside from LOTR) until i stumbled across The Icewind Dale trilogy and started reading it because there was nothing else to read. And i fell in love with his characters. Couldn't put it down! After i finished i immediatley went out and bought the Dark Elf Trilogy, and i recommend this book to anyone who would like to try a fantasy novel that is easy to follow, straightforward, funny, touching and just awesome.

R.A. Salvator is an excellent author, one of the best in the business. He writes very eloquently, and the characters he creates cannot be beaten. Drizzt, Cattie-brie, Bruenor, Nightbird, Pony, Artemis Entreri, Regis, ad infinitum are all excellently written characters who each have unique personalities. Highly recommended reading, both his Forgotten Realms series and the demon series (_The Demon Awakens_, etc.).

Once again I am supprised by the # of people that haven't read this man's work. Nightbird and Pony are very loveable and endearing characters. Salvatore's writing technique draws the reader into the character's lives and makes one care for them. I know I liked it a lot.

There be writers creating far more detailed and complicated worlds than Salvatore, but no one can beat the creator of Drizzt, Cadderly, and Nightbird for overall enjoyment.
