Wed Dec 10 2008This product might work exceptionally well on extraordinarily soiled garments. Perhaps for athletic uniforms it would be worth its salt. Unfortunately, however, its utilization for one's everyday and typical load of laundry does not seem to be as practical. The design of its container and pour spout that are touted as that which differentiates the product, among other supposed benefits, from any other detergent actually detracts from its appeal. Because the detergent is stored in a soft pouch, it spills out directly into one's washing machine at a rate that cannot be discerned until one turns the pouch right side up to utilize yet another one of the product's well thought out design features in the form of the built in load measurer. Another drawback associated with this product is the fact that its scent is far from desirable. The only reason that this product deserves any stars at all is the fact that it does clean clothing at least as well as any other detergent. This product sho... Read more

Wed Dec 10 2008Since much of my clothing is activewear, I decided to give Prowash a try. It smells good, seems to be relatively acceptable environmentally, - although not all the ingredients are listed - and comes in a bag rather than a plastic bottle, which makes for a slight reduction in packaging. I used it on my active and sedentary clothing - sorting is not for me, I just want to bung the stuff in the machine and go get on with my life. Normally I hate scented products, the way those noxious floral odors billow out and choke anyone within 50 yards - they literally give me a headache. Prowash has a very subtle scent that stays on the clothes and makes me feel like they are cleaner somehow - ridiculous thing to say, but true. If it is priced competitively, I will continue to use it for all my laundry.

Wed Dec 10 2008This product does it job well. It cleans our athletic clothes and at the same time gentle for handling them. Not too sudsy and is easier to rinse well. The contents is thinner than a liquid softener. It does not smell bad - just different. If you have a very active family, you may want try it to see for yourself. The packaging is bit different for a wash detergent. Maybe less material which is better for the environment, but somewhat inconvenient. No measuring cup included. You cannot hold the product while doing the measuring as the pressure from your hands will squeeze the bag and make it innacurate. The spout is a little too small to dispense.

Wed Dec 10 2008I normally use regular 2X liquid detergent with my active wear and haven't really observed any improvement from the Prowash. Although the Prowash detergent smells odd, my clothes don't smell bad after they are washed. The fabric softener scent overpowers the detergent scent. The Prowash container was awkward to use since I prefer the hard plastic jugs with measuring cups. The "unit" marks on the Prowash bag (which resembles a goatskin flask) are difficult to use since you are trying to pour out of a bag while looking at the markings. Overall, my activewear didn't come out significantly cleaner or dirtier when compared with mainstream liquid detergents.

Tue Dec 09 2008This product is gentle, and it does not have heavy perfumes. There is no residue on the clothes I washed with this detergent. All types of sportswear are washable with this detergent, as referenced on the container. Sportswear gets grittier and dirtier than regular clothes usually do. You sweat in them. They tend to have an odor, or stains from sweat. This product takes care of that. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to measure out this detergent, but it works quite well when done correctly. It is fairly simple. There are lines of demarcation along the side of the container. No measuring utensil is needed. I used this product in the washer, but I think you can use it in hand wash.
