Wed Feb 25 2009I do not recommend for any company to do business with Peter Estevez and Peter Wandio. These guys are liars, frauds and DO NOT PAY THEIR BILLS! I did their advertising signs all over Baytown and I only received partial payment. Why? Checks were return for insufficient funds. I cannot even serve the Peter's with court papers, never in the office! BEWARE! Supposedly these two guys are no longer partners, that is not my business! All I want is to get paid for my services I rendered; they still owed me $2,000.00. Is true these two clowns did scam home buyers in the San Antonio area, too bad I found out a little too late! If you read this Peter Wandio or Peter Estevez, call me so you can take care of your balance, don't ignore my calls or emails. My information has not changed; you know how to reach me. Frank Garza

Sun Feb 22 2009Buyer Beware - president Peter Estevez of Provident Homes is a very dangerous man!! I have unfortunately known Peter Estevez or Peter Wandio, whatever name he is currently using, for several years. I can tell anyone interested that this man is evil - a liar, cheat, swindler, embezzler, con-artist, forger, womanizer, sexual deviant , and one of the most evil humans I have ever met. As others have mentioned in these reviews, he was convicted of many real estate crimes in San Antonio several years ago, and kept himself out of prison only by ratting on his accomplisses. I would caution anyone who crosses his path to run as fast as you can away from the man, as he is always looking for his next victim. He gives the impression of wanting to help you, but PLEASE take it from me that he has only one intention - to rip you off! I am hopeful that he will get what he deserves some day, but that cannot happen too soon as he has ruined many lives with his harmful tactics over his many years o... Read more

Tue Jan 06 2009I have read all your complaints about Peter E or Wandio (whatever he calls himself). He is a total fraud. He held on to my earnest money for months. Told me I would be closing on my home by the end of October 2008 or November. It's a New Year and I have only talked to him 3 times since September. He never returns your calls and he tells you all types of lies. Peter and his entire crew are frauds. And I will make this known so people will not be taken my him. My brother and I both gave this man our money for two different houses. He sold both our houses and said our contract expired in 90 days. What contract?? We never signed a contract. On January 6, I've had enough of Peter Wandio or Peter Estevez whatever he was that day. I called him and he told me he as on vacation. He is always on vacation. Next my brother called him and he told my brother he wasz in Conroe and won't be in Baytown til next week. I told him I wanted my money back and he told me to fax a letter stating that I wanted... Wed Sep 17 2008so, here we go again, I am going to tell a story that seams is been told TONS and MILLIONS of times... I got suckered with a Providian Manor Home back in 2004, my 1st home. It was the best deal in town I GOT PAID to get into the house REALLY? wow? SIGN ME UP RIGHT?? WELL wrong, things went good that year for me, then one day I Opened my mouth to Peter Wandio and said "wow, i wish i could get a bigger house" and BAM my wish was his command, I got a bigger house at that time I had no idea what i was getting into, papers were done. TONS of houses around me were forclosing I had no idea why? then found out, I tried to get out of the house by telling George Wavie that I found out the house was worth 100K and I got it sold to me for 200K and now i couldn't do anything to refi OR to get rid of it, they (Peter Wandio) decided to HELP me (as usual right, him being nice and kind) and he took my house back SAYING he would be FULLY RESPONSABLE for it and all payments... HAHAHAHAHAHA long story sh... Read more

Wed Sep 03 2008I was just served with legal papers to foreclose on my house and others because Providian has not paid almost $100,000.00 for flooring and tiles. They haven't paid for the air conditioners either and owe the company $90,000.00. The grass company wants to file a lien on my property because they are owed $12,000.000. New owners can't get their water turned on because Providian hasn't paid their portion of the water bill prior to closing. Providian does not do repairs and when they do, it's either imcomplete or messy or wrong. If you have a problem with your home, please file a complaint with the Texas Real Estate Construction Commission. This is a governmental section of Texas that will work with you to get Providian to provide repairs, warranties and if needed, inspections. Providian HAS to respond to their requests for information and provide the repairs or the TRCC will shut them down or fine them $10,000.00 per DAY per VIOLATION. Do not, I repeat, do NOT buy a house from them. ... Read more

Thu Jul 10 2008I would not recommend Peter Wandio and Providian Manor Homes for nothing, they are alllll a bunch of liars. We have been in our home at CaryCreek for a year now, and nothing has changed but the staff and the lies. We are yet to get deed restrictions or home owner information, although they have been asked several times. Everyone in the neighborhood are still awaiting lists to be complete in their homes. You cant get anyone to return calls. There are a couple of foreclosures on the street already, the neighborhood is still not finished, they have been working on at least 10 houses for 4 months and they are still not ready. I do believe Peter has ran out of money, and the only people he still has employeed are the illegal hispanics and a relative. Everyone else has learned their lesson and moved on. I would not suggest even thinking about purchasing one of his homes, if we could do it all over again WE WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM HIM. He makes everything sound great in the begin... Fri Jun 27 2008OK WHERE TO BEGIN, WE FIRST STARTED OUT BEING TOLD WE WERE TO ONLY PAY $680 A MONTH AND BY THE TIME WE WERE DONE WE WERE AT $1008.00 PROVIDED OUR CREDIT WASN'T THE GREATEST BUT THERE JUST ALWAYS SEEM TO BE ONE THING OR THE OTHER AT EVERY MEETING. THEN THE HOUSE HAD NO BACK YARD BUT A VERY LONG DRIVE WAY IN OTHERWORDS THEY MESSED UP WHEN THEY LAYED DOWN THE HOUSE.(EXACTLY 8 FEET FROM THE BACK DOOR TO THE FENCE), INCOMPLETE WORK, THEY MESSED UP DURRING THE CONSTRUCTION OF LITTLE THINGS HERE AND THERE. WHEN WE MOVED IN THE HOUSE WAS SWARMING WITH ANTS. THE HOUSE HAD MANY LEAKS, NO WAX RINGS AROUND THE TOILETS, MISCUT SHEETROCK ON THE STAIRS. YOU COULD NEVER GET A HOLD OF PETER OR HIS STAFF UNLESS THEY NEEDED SOMETHING FROM YOU. WE ENDED UP HAVING OUR HOUSE FORCLOSED ON BECAUSE WE COULD NOT FIND ANYONE TO REFINANCE AFTER OUR 2 YR FIXED RATE WAS UP. EVERYONE WHO WORKS FOR HIM IS SHADY, BY THE TIME WE FOUND A GOOD CONSTRUCTION/MAINTINACE GUY WE WERE MOVING. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS MAN IS STILL ... Read more

Sun Feb 24 2008We've been in the Cary Creek subdivision for almost a year. We still don't have our home warranty; still don't have our Initial punch-list completed. We get lots of promises and excuses, but it isn't happening. Watch out and be sure you go down immediately and have the taxes transferred into your name. They don't share that part with you. Anyone who hasn't already done so, is facing a big penalty. I have also been given to understand that when you FINALLY get your home warranty paperwork, it isn't in your name, but someone else's! Also, with the constant construction that is going on, there are days when you cannot leave or return to your own home. There is always trash and debris up and down the street, the construction workers seem to enjoy forcing you to wait for them to shut vehicle doors, listen to their music, and pick up the results of their 3 or 4 hour lunch breaks. We fell in love with the house, it's good solid construction, and thought it would be a great neighborho... Read more

Sat Nov 10 2007The worst home buying experience ever. The homes are way overpriced and not neatly built in comparison to other homes on the market. As a matter of fact, Mr Wandio kept raising the prices of his homes that had been sitting around for the longest while. Mr. Wandio talks a good game but in my opinion Providian Manor Homes merely used recent the sub prime mortgage phase to make money from unsuspecting people who would not normally have gotten a regular mortgage. He 'found' me a mortgage rate of 14% and told me he would personally carry a second mortgage for my down payment. That was such a joke! I didn't need a sub prime loan! The sales staff is unprofessional and generally treat people like garbage. They are unable to secure mortgages with the fly by night lenders they work with. When I realized the operation may be a bit shady at best, I promptly went to a reputable builder and purchased a beautiful new home. With Providian Manor Homes, each buyer must go on his radio show to ... Read more

Mon Sep 10 2007I purchased my home through Providian Manor Homes back in July of 2005. I moved into the home it was beautiful. The builder name is Peter Wandio he was a great person to work with. Providian will get you in your within seven days. Here is the problem I have with them now. Me and my husband were going to split so the first thing I did was call Peter. He gave us the option of selling the house back to him for the original purchase price of $165,000. I thought this was a great idea because we would not have to go through the process of putting the house on the market. We set an appointment with Peter and Tom. They drew up paper work stating that he would be responsible for the home. I moved to New Jersey and recieved my copies of the paper at my new address. I thought everything was okay until I went to purchase a car. The salesman stated that I was past due on my home loan in which I had not lived there for one year. I immediately called Peter's office in Texas. They stated... Read more
