Sun Sep 19 2010I have a Provident mortgage now. I tried to apply for a refinance. The results were confusing. The contract was difficult to understand. They lied about the rates! You can not get a hold of the finance person. Totally impossible. After getting a run around I went to a local bank (First Merit)and got my loan. Totally satisfied with that process. THANKS FIRST MERIT.

Tue Aug 24 2010we have been with provident for seven years and have nothing but good customer service from them. But then, I am not an Obamabot freeloader who shouldn't have never been given a mortgage in the first place. I had my 20% down payment and followed "standard" industry rules (all the folks who fell into the liberal trap of "everyone deserves a home" won't understand this. Too bad. Remember, elections have consequences.

Don't sit back and think your voice will not be heard because it will and Provident Funding will be put under investigation. Did you know by law Provident Funding is required to respond to your complaints? How many of you have tried to contact Provident and never get a reply back? Write out your story and include whatever documents you have to back up your dealings with Provident and send th... Read more
