Providence

I loved Providence! I watched it every Friday night. The family wasn't perfect but they stuck together and dealt with all of their issues as a family. A good messege to give in my oppinion. I must say though that I don't know many vets that are animal rights activists.

This was the one show I would never miss and the Mike Farrell was an excellent actor! I esp loved the guys Joanie messed with from time to time.

Quirky, sometimes even interesting take on how things could be. I wasn't a regular, but did take it in from time to time and enjoyed it for the most part.

I live in South Africa..and I thought it was great: unique and entertaining. It's a shame to hear that it was cancelled :(

I typically don't like drama's and I can't stomach hospitals. But I grew up in Providence and I liked the intro when they showed views of the city so I figured I'd give it a shot. Well I ended up falling in love with Melina Kanakaredes and I have to admit, I kinda liked the show.

Felt a little like northern exposure which is a good thing. Only caught a few episodes nothing complicated so if you weren't a firt ep viewer it was easy to watch. I liked it *****'s

The show was really good and so was the acting. the only thing that really didn't enjoy was finding out about Mike Farrels political postion which is somwhere left of Stalin....

Schmaltzy, story lines became very, very weak as the show ran. At the end it was like a soap opera with silly characters and absurd scripts.

It is on the top of my list to get rid of.

This is one of the best shows on TV! The relationships in the family are believable and it is just plain good family programming!

Awesome show. I love the story lines. The characters are funny and the story lines are inspirational. Keep up the great work. :)

they took the great Homicide off and replaced it with this crap??!!! some of the worst, unbelievable story lines and acting in primetime. though i must admit to finding melina kanakaredes nose job mildly diverting.

Providence rocks ! I can't miss any episode of this wonderful drama : great musics, excellent actors ( unusual nowadays ). Melina Kanakaredes is handsome, closed from her audience. She answered when you send her mail - even though she may not be the one who replies though, you get something -. You go Melina !

You've heard of the term Click Flick. It rhymes. Now this: Chick Drama. It doesn't rhyme and this show isn't too good either.

I'm 14 and have been watching this show since it started. I may not understand everything that goes on but I do know that the actors really take their parts seriously when it comes to the drama of the series.

Good show originally, now bad. What a dysfunctional family. Now the Doctor has turned in to a slut by dating a married man-Gary Condit?

The show is uplifting and funny. I particular like the dream scence with the deceased mother. The cast escpecially Melina Kanakaredes is fun to watch. The show is practically the only thing I watch on TV.

This is my favorite show! I even love watching the reruns! I love everything about the show but I would really love to see more new shows.

I love this show!

"Providence" is a good show, but it's quickly losing it's charm and original storylines. Many ideas are now duplicates and run on a formula -- Syd meets boy, boy leaves Syd; Robbie gets into trouble; Jim saves an animal; Joanie works at bakery. The auxillary characters aren't around enough to really appreciate their talent (especially Heather). Many of the storylines are also becoming more far-fetched -- a rare African disease in Providence; regardless that she's smart and beautiful, Syd can't find a boyfriend; Jim does an impromptu operation in the basement and just happens to have the right equipment; old friends suddenly appear in the Hansens' lives for one episode and leave; Syd is gone from the clinic running "errands" and saving people more than she's working there. And people wonder why they don't get nominated for any awards . . . "Providence" needs some fresh ideas and continuity.

My favorite show! I can't help it, I'm hooked.

I think Providence is a great show!!!! It really is a great family show and I think that it is completely appropriate. I love the heartwarming plots and the great actors!!!!!! Go providence!!

I little less sex would make this a rating of 5.

One of my Friday must see list.

The characters are so real when you watch this. You really feel like your a part of their lives and they can really tough your heart with the topics they deal with.

I love the way you feel when you watch this show. It may deal with some intence topics but I'm 13 and I always seem to understand what's going on. It's like living in a real fantasy world.

Nice consistent show. Heart warming.

Aside from Mike Farrell, all the characters on this show are annoying.

Enough characters to have different story lines going at once. The son needs to get a job and a life.

I really wanted to like this show, but it's the sappiest thing I've ever watched. If I didn't know the city personally, I'd be biased against it just because it would remind me of the show.
