    This review is not about this particular diet. I have no opinion about it, what so ever. But it's the closest listing to this particular subject; Protein. Protein is an often misunderstood thing and you won't find many health experts tackling the subject, indepth. But I found some good info that should take some of the mystery out of protein, like, what it is, what it does, where you get it from and how much you should be taking.What it is: Protein is, simply, various combinations of amino acids that are linked by genetic instructions and sent to their appointed tasks.What they do: Provide structure, aid in digestion,  play a role in immunity, aid in movement,  tell your body what to do and when to do it, transport oxygen and give us the ability to see (the lens of the eye is pure crystallin protein).All of the confusion stems from the fact that there are 9 amino acids that our bodies no longer manufacture and there is no one source that you can go to, to get them.     I heard that this diet is fairly good. I read someone's comment on the diet saying that they did the diet for nine days then took 3-4 weeks off and lost over 60 pounds in about 6 months. I am not sure who the person was, but whoever it was inspired me to atleast try it. I have tried the Atkins diet and lost about 10 pounds in 15 days. This diet might have some differences in its approach. If someone has tried this particular diet, would you say that it has some of the same problems and results as the atkins or is it better?
