There was a time I didn't used to like Progresso, but I seen a commercial on TV, and the soup looked really good, and I decided to give it another try. It was pretty good. I really like the chicken noodle and the beef and russet potato soups.

I've never really thought Progresso was all that great. I mean their chicken noodle I find to be better than Campbell's but nothing I would write home about. I however am a huge fan of New England Clam Chowder, which is hit or miss in restaurants. I had tried a few canned brands and couldn''t get past the first bite. I reluctantly thought I would try progresso when I saw it in the grocery store this evening, not expecting to be impressed. Once I cooked and tasted it I was quite surprised! It was indeed the best canned Clam Chowder I have tried and rivaled a few restaurants I had ordered it in. All in all I think Progresso normally doesn't deliver the bang for the buck, but they have won me as a fan for their New England Clam Chowder.

I have been on a soup kick lately, and i just tried some of campbells select harvest soups. Then I tried the progresso light chicken noodle. Way more flavorful and tasty than any of the campbells soups i have tried

I've alway's been a fan of Campbell's Tomato Soup. I've eaten it for years. The other day at Wally World, I happend to stop in the soup aisle to stock up (I've basicly been free basing the stuff because of the freezing weather we've been having lately). While there, I noticed that the Progresso Line made their own version of tomato soup. I also noticed it was a little pricy, but since it was already made up (non condensed), I figured "what the hell", I'd give it a try. The end result.......AMAZING! This is simply the best tomato soup I've ever had, bar none! The soup has the perfect texture, thickness, and blend of spices to it. After finishing my soup, I felt like a shmuck for not trying this soup before. Campbell's Tomato soup is almost laughable when compared to Progresso Tomato Basil Soup. The difference is like night and day. If your a fan of tomato soup, Progresso Tomato Basil Soup is a MUST! Try it for yourself, and you'll agree!!- B.A.R.

I've tried several varieties & enjoyed them all- lentil, chicken noodle, beef, vegetable, chowder. So far I've been pleased with the amount of veggies & meat. The noodles are firm and don't taste like paste. The beef and chicken have been good also. Doesn't taste like a tin can. I will agree that Progresso got really proud of its soups because the price got a little tooo high...I've been seeing it on sale lately so I've stocked up on my faves.

I really like Progresso. They are pretty good and decently healthy. the only problem is the high-sodium(about 25-50% DV per cup) which is absolutely ridiculous, which is why Progresso loses a star from me.

I think they're getting kickbacks from cardiologists with all the sodium in each can

Stick with the chicken - their beef soups often taste off

Hubby loves it, but some of the varieties give him majorly bad gas!

For what they charge, you should be filled up for the day, but it's totally the opposite. Campbell's Chunky will always be light years ahead of Progreso. Sorry Progresso-heads.

As a fiftytwo year old woman who prefers the comfortable simplicity of Maryjanes, I find your recent commercial offensive. Am I an immature out-of-touch socially inept woman? I don't think so. Am I concerned with the peer pressure of a co-worker who advises me to grow up? Hardly. I have spent most of my adult life (having been a product of the good-girl 5o's) learning to be my own person and stand up for my own choices. One of thoes choices, minor as it may seem, is to wear Maryjanes, whether others do or not, as this simple little footwear goes in and out of style. Thank you for the opportunity share my feelings re: that irritating commercial.

Light and flavorful. Doesn't taste like Campbell's hearty dog food.

Their chicken and vegetable soups aren't anything great, but "creamy tomato" is excellent. Much better than the condensed red liquid play-doh made by Campbell's.

i tried a couple of their soups, and they are nothing like the commercials say. sure, they have big chunks, but if there's only 2 potato chunks in the whole can of potato soup, they better be some really big chunks! they taste ok (the ones that i've had) but are definitely not worth the price. after i ate my bowl of soup, i had to go eat a sandwich just to feel like i had eaten something.....and i don't eat that much!

I'm not one to go crazy for soup, but I do love Progreeso's pasta and bean soup. It's delicious, filling, and healthy.

The commercials have the nerve to put down campbell's , well at least campbell's has FLAVOR! Progresso tastes really bland and the price is absolutely ridiculous!

My favorite canned soup. A little on the expensive side (about $3 per can?), but this soup is a meal in itself. My favorites are the chicken noodle (seems to have more meat than the chicken and vegetables), and the corn chowder.

It's an ok soup, but their chicken has a ton of fat in it, and the broth is very very dull.
