Wed Dec 23 2009No by-products and the first ingredient is chicken meal but the second is corn. Doesnt seem to use high quality ingredients. I dont like feeding anything with corn in it.

Tue Aug 04 2009I live in Shanghai, now my puppy is six and half month old, we tried Royalcanin, Origen, just switched to ProPac one month ago, Royalcanin is okay but I don't like the shape of the food, Origen is very BAD my puppy suffered from diarrhea after starting Origen I took my puppy to the vet, doctor said is too much oil in dog food cost the diarrhea, doctor wanted me to change dog food and see if anything changes, so I switched to ProPac. It's miracle, right after I switched to ProPac she never had another diarrhea! We are going to stay with ProPac and really don't like ORIGEN!

Sat Nov 22 2008Have had my 3 pugs on foods costing twice as much and even more and not even results close to what Pro Pac has done for them. Half of the dog club I belong to have switched to Pro Pac and all are very happy. I feed the chunk in the red bag. Awesome food product. Give it a try. You will be amazed.

Sat Nov 01 2008My 4 month old puppy has never looked healthier since i switched him to ProPac Large Breed Puppy. His coat is so soft and his energy level is just perfect ( not too hyper, not too mellow).

Fri Oct 17 2008I called Pro Pac and was informed that as written below chicken is not in this food. Chicken meal is. They explained that chicken meal is baked before it is put into the pellet so the total chicken meal is 60% and not 20%.

Tue Sep 16 2008The first ingredient in the food is chicken. Since this ingredient will end up weighing around 20% of its wet weight, once the moisture is removed, as it must be to create a dry food, it is unlikely that this is the ture first ingredient in the food but would be more accurately placed further down the ingredient list.

Mon Aug 18 2008What took me so long to try this product???? My dogs have never looked so good. Dry skin and coat is gone. Itching is gone. Have used Nutro and Science diet at a much higher cost. Ill stick with Pro Pac. Without a doubt its the best.

Wed Dec 26 2007I was in the feed store when I saw this dog food and decided to try it out on our dogs. I like a good basic food with good ingredients, no artificial or harmful preservatives and I'm not a fan of holistic foods that include exotic herbs and vegetables (been there, done that with a lot of intestinal upsets) I do add a small amount of people food for added health. The dogs really like the taste of this food and there is a little over 400 cal. per cup so you feed a lot less than some. I am feeding the large breed adult for my big guys but they have different formulations from basic adult through adult/maturity, puppy, large breed puppy, performance and an allergy one. Everyone seems healthy, coats shiny and good energy levels. This is a good food to consider if you tried a lot of "high end" foods that didn't work out. It can be purchased in gardening supply and some feed stores but not in places like Petco. Also Pro Pac was never involved in a recall which is a big plus for trust. The pri... Read more

Mon Oct 22 2007I only just recently decided to try out Pro Pac (red bag). I have my dogs on raw, but that gets too costly for me to do 100% of the time, plus when I travel to dog shows I need something more convenient. So, I've been using Pro Pac for a few weeks now, after having been hesitant for the longest time to feed a brand with *gasp* corn!!! I am so sorry that I have not tried this sooner! Simply put, this food is OUTSTANDING!!! My dogs are thriving - I thought I was seeing things, but after the second meal of Pro Pac, coats were glossier. My dogs eat so little of the food to sustain weight, and stools are nice & firm. I have a problem with some kibbles causing "sugar rushes", but their energy levels remain even while their stamina is unsurpassed. I actually prefer their coats on Pro Pac to raw, and do find myself feeding more kibble lately, because this food has not caused the same problems as other kibbles I've fed in the past. I even have a pup with colitis, and this food sits very well wi... Read more
